Ladies..correct me if I'm wrong..but the texture of the baby's hair may yet change, no?

RL...Whatever you do..whatever the texture..wash it frequently (we know everyday is not good for anyone's hair..even yours) and DO NOT, I repeat..DO NOT put vaseline in that child's hair [img]/forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img] If, overtime the texture changes and she needs additional moisture..there are other products to use.

And ditto what everyone said on the designer clothes..a pure foolishness dat.

RL...like others have said...buying name brand clothes for someone who only wears them for 2 mths tops is...well ...kinda nuts...unless he is getting them at a deep discount ..like say 70% off....that money can be put into an Education IRA or your state's 529 (or equivalent) plan..he wants her go to college right ?

Next....with the florida humidity....her hair is never going to be neat...that was the fuss I always had with my mother when I would come to visit....

Her hair is curly and needs a lot of moisture (this is not the same as grease or vaseline [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70388-shameonyou.gif[/img])...by this I mean extra conditioning...

I find that the Johnson and Johnson products as well as the Loreal kids are drying and one or more of the products may contain alcohol (stay away from anything with this) which dries the hair...plus Mr. Geneva insisted that they were "tear free" until I rubbed some in his eyes and he found out what tear free meant... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70400-talktohand.gif[/img]

We use TIGI moisture maniac conditioner/shampoo...pricey...but I have not been able to find cheaper alternatives [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I use Motions leave in conditioner which also serves as a detangler...which does a great job......

She is way too young for any tight clips which could lead to hair loss and breakage....

Some days I just brush my daughter's hair and we are out the door... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70390-shhh.gif[/img] it looks the same when done so is gonna know the difference... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70390-shhh.gif[/img]

I have "mixed" hair - relatively straight when cut short and progressively curlier as it grows. If left to do its thing, it becomes a full blown afro after a few weeks. It was washed every 1-2 days when I was a pickney my madda used hair gel in it. Not much more maintainence required.

wondah if him tell RL nuffi trim the ends too...

my daughter got really bad breakage when she was about 1 yr...in the back of her head... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] took a while for it go grow out....and I had to clip it each week....

I have been trimming the ends since she was about 2 and that bad patch is just about gone....so to prevent further breakage ..since it is really fine....she sleeps on satin pillowcases.....and this really helps...

something to consider when she is much older RL...cause she too young fi sleep pan pillow now...mi nuh know if dem mek satin fitted sheet fi crib... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70402-thinking.gif[/img]
