What happen, no gardening thread this summer? I was looking forward to learning more about successful gardening. Especially since I started one this year and it is doing so/so.
I planted a couple of tomato plants. They bushes are doing well. They are almost the same height at me. (5'4") but not one tomato sprout. Is this normal? The leaves are strong and healthly.
I planted sweet peppers, calallo, scotch bonnet, onions, and lettuce. They are doign OK, not great. I think I need to prepare the soil better next year. We have very dry and sandy soil and I noticed a lot of people "build" a garden with about top soil. They use bricks to mark off an area and fill that area with about a foot of topsoil and work the garden from there. Looks like that is what I am going to have to do next year.
