well mi tink is time fi close dis thread fi de year.

how did yu all do on yu reaping.

although i had quite a few things in pots ( old habits hard to die. my gargen was great,mi herbs were out of this world. we eat callalo so till,mi have quite a few bags frozen. i cut the last amount on Saturday an made callalo soup just wonderful.

i plated purple onions,which did great love dem lots. Pepper yu should try it. my tomatoes oh my they were wonderful,made alot of sauces.

all in all i did well an lookin forward to next year. as a matter of fact i hated puttin my garden to rest.....aaaaah sah!!!!! next year

Well to close, my Mango tree is sprouting new growth like crazy. The banana tree has not produced anything yet, but new leaves sprout almost weekly, and it has already produced two small off-shoots. The ackee tree, was doing well for a while, it seems to have stopped sprouting recently.

When the leaves start falling off that monsterous oak tree, I will start collecting my compost mix for next year's garden.

Oh, I almost forgot, my scotch bonnet tree is really taking off now. So much new growth, it is amazing. I wonder if it will bear during the colder months?

My garden is still blooming!

Dahlias still blooming
Cannas still blooming
Hibiscuses still blooming
Rose bushes still blooming
One Hosta plant did a late bloom

Surprisingly, one of the Day Lillies that did not come out this spring has finally decided to push its green head out of the earth ~ kinda late but I'm watching it.

I'd planted couple giant sunflower seeds and they giant Sunflower was absolutely beautiful. Now, I have couple giant Sunflower heads with seeds in them and wondering, where the heck I'm going to plant all these seeds.

Some of the plants are laying down now that the season is changing. I have some bulbs to plant for next spring (tulips, irises, cannas, lilies).

This weekend, I'll be mulching, planting bulbs, and pruning. I had an excellent gardening season this year.
