Brojen English or a lingua franca developed for a society made from slaves from a multitudes of language groups.. if you look at patwas it is simple.. ie no tenses.. words subeverted from multitudes of sources and eras.. and a small vocabulary....

Mother would have been fine with it. Her patois A DE BOMB!!! She only speaks it around Jamaican friends and family though and by the time they started arriving, it was too late for me.
