a) Where are your parents and if they are with us, how do you and their grand - children honour them?

b)Would it matter to you what kind of higher education your children seek after: public college... or Ivy-league?

c) You seem like a poster girl for tolerance and respect towards others regardless of origin, race, gender, and so on. To what single factor in your life's experiences can this be attributed?

d) What do you think can be done to lessen the lack of compassion many people have towards animals?

e) With reference to you rocking in your armchair, God willing, what do you think might be considered your legacy to the world? For what will people remember you?

Next planned vacation? Spring Break.. either skiing or a visit to see the Big Rat

Did you ever find out if that guy is related to hubby? If the guy's father is/was an MD, there is definitely a connection. The subject of the book was the granduncle not g/father as I thought.

Relationship with mom is umm.. interesting. Am courteous and do my daughterly deeds for her. Children keep in contact with phone calls & visits.

b)Would it matter to you what kind of higher education your children seek after: public college... or Ivy-league? Current thought process is community college (2yrs) then xfr to a highly competitive college and Ivy league grad school. At one time I thought Princeton for undergrad.

c) You seem like a poster girl for tolerance and respect towards others regardless of origin, race, gender, and so on. To what single factor in your life's experiences can this be attributed? My parents and family members. The neighborhood I lived in while growing up had people of many different backgrounds and traveling to other countries helped to develop respect for other people and their cultures.

d) What do you think can be done to lessen the lack of compassion many people have towards animals? Hmm dont know really. I wonder if exposure to animals to children in a non threatening way (eg the class guinea pig) and learning how to care for it may help the children develop compassion to animals as the chilcren grow into adults?
