I've been seeing many yt people speaking out against the atrocities in Darfur, Chad...why are people of African descent (especially Black leaders of nations and orgs) not more active? ARABS are bent on wiping out NATIVE peoples and raping women to thin out "black blood!" What kinda EVIL chit is that?! Re: Why don't people of African descent speak out...
True-true Evanovitch...
Things we can do:
1. U.S. registered voters can: write/email/call your local, state and federal reps to demand they TAKE ACTION
2. encourage schools and libraries to create programs that bring awareness to children...sometimes THEY are more pro-active than us adults!
3. go to these websites and DO SOMETHING!!!
Everything about the "situation" in Darfur and what you can do to help:
Kid's BBC (UK) Site:
British charities are making a massive effort to help a million people left homeless by years of fighting in Africa's largest country, Sudan.
What you can do about Darfur:
One person CAN make a difference!

Re: Why don't people of African descent speak out...
There was one black leader who actually did something for the Sudanese: Mickey Leland.
You're right though; black leaders never seem to bun fiyah on what's going on in Africa (not just Sudan) now that apartheid is 'over'.

Send a cyber-postcard to Bush; similar to signing a petition urging him to take official action to protect the civilians
