I have never had a bad experience here. Maybe its cos I read mostly and post here and there. I also took the time to read and understand before I ventured into posting so when Jackie attacked [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] me with my yeah mon! I took it lightly as I had seen a few ppl get the same treatment. where is Jackie anyway, I really miss her!

I really enjoy Ja.com and have learnt a lot about Jamaican ppl and their way of life, I cant imagine leaving.

The side effect is I will then use some of the lingo here (like ROTFLMAO) on outsiders and always draw blanks with ppl not understanding me at all. They think I am crazy to be spending so much time with ppl I will probably never meet BUT I dont care, I feel as if I have met most of you anyway.

Great post Tigrrr. I too had the same feeling when I started. Oh my God!! I remember responding to a post in Dear K. I got my butt chewed off. I was so upset. I kept explaining and explaining myself. Why? I don't know.

I also remember Wendy commenting on one of my responses in GD. I was so hurt. I was fuming. But I didn't leave. I finally got to understand the board. I was in awe of everyone because I thought they all knew each other personally. I felt like an outsider. That is why I always sympathize with the newcomers when everyone jumps all over them.

I have also learned a lot and matured because of this board.

When I first came here in May of 2000, I was a decent, mature, half sensible man. Then I ran into Wendy and the rest was history.

But to be honest (I was earlier too), Alpha, Jooks, and Q3210 were the first ones to respond to my sorry posts and since that time I have met two of them in person.

I feel bad for newcomers too because they don't have a clue as to how the flow of it goes here. I came looking for travel information and started reading the other posts, became interested and stuck around. So I past the time at work when I'm slow just goofing off here and having fun. Keeping it light.

When I first started I felt not welcomed...then I started posting a lot and I felt like part of the family. In a JA community ppl will feel you out first but they will never turn you away. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Then I finally met some of the ppl at a bashment and bwoy mek me tell you it felt like old friends getting together, everyone was so loving. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

exactly. i left dis place twice since mi come yah. i dont recall anyone being dat bad. people actually HATE mi on here. lol

but mi kinda ca change mi style still. mi a try get dem inna mi castle instead a get dem out. a hope dem young'ns look good.
