I can sertainly agree with your statement Bink, because as newcomer I've felt that way as well. In fact, I've had a runin with a boardmember (no names mentioned) who I just didn't seem to click with. But I was not discouraged. Yes, there is a sense of abandonment after the initial "welcome to be board, have fun," but I've learned that although it is an online community, it is still just like making new friends - you find the people that you have a repore with and you go from there.

There are a few ppl that have made me feel very welcome and if there is a post that I don't understand or that my addition is not warranted, I observe and stay out.

I found this board by accident, in an attempt to get recipes from my childhood in JA and it seemed like a wonderful place to connect with people of my country who share my humour and experiences to an extent and I must say that I haven't been disappointed in that respect. On another note, it has reminded me a bit about the bad side of my countrymen that I do not like - the backbiting, nastiness that was exhibited for the past few days. But I can overlook that as well, because in a community you take the good with the bad.

My experience so far as been an uplifting one. I love connecting with people from different places and connecting with women of a similar background (ppl to chat fawt wid [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ).

I say keep up the good work and I will be around as long as I'm capable and welcome.

Well I just wanna thank the world's evilest women for all the laughs and support you've brought me. I'm glad I hung around long enough to "get" it.
