Have not seen her hope she's just busy and not sick. I think it was her hip that was the problem.

How you manage the bike riding with the cold and wind?

When I can tolerate the outdoor running in the cold, the bike ride, I cannot. My fingers get so numb and painful gripping the handle bars of the bicycle...no matter how often I release the grips and flex my fingers. Plus the sinus draining.................. Any bicycle riding I do now is relegated to the stationery bike at the gym.

I ran all this week...indoor at the gym. Yesterday was a beautiful day...the snow and ice had melted, so I hit the running trail and did 5 mls. Today is running day off. Tomorrow I'll start back up with 3 miles of running and increase the miles throughout the week.

Hello runners (and bikers)\

We did our annual Run of the Lights on Thursday...5 miles of looking at Christmas lights. We have a few neighborhoods that really go all out. It was a cold clear calm night...perfect for a run.

Other than that...havent done too much since the Half Mary...BUT...the New Year is quickly approaching and I have a new goal for my next Half...going to get serious...

Anyway...Happy New Year to you all...its been great to have you guys there for support and encouragement.

Training for next year's triathlons...first one will be in mid-February. Today I did the full monty...swam 1/2 mile, bike 18 miles and ran 6 miles...all indoor at the gym. Yesterday I ran 4 miles and bike 12 miles, then did some heavy weights for legs and back. I'm major achy....

Btw, we should have a new running/bike/swim thread for next year to keep track of training and events.
