The best way to counteract false information that arises in a discussion is to supply the correct information. (On MarieK's point, if someone has an agenda, then we can point that agenda out, certainly. But it doesn't mean that we cannot acknowledge when that person says something that in fact may be true.)
Not everything negative is false, and as a nation, I think most Jamaicans are able to handle information about our warts as well as our beauty spots. I do happen to think that issues such as pervasive rentadreadism or lack of opportunity for educational advancement/jobs exist in Jamaica and can be traced to the country's economic condition. These issues do need airing, and I'm just suggesting we keep the discussions focussed on the issues rather than the posters.
