Thanks for everyone sharing their remembrances... really helps to bring her spirit to the forefront..

I just came upon all these posts moments ago and felt a crushing pang in my chest... the sadness ..

I only chatted with her a few times.. but nonetheless was well aware of her input and friendship to many on this site..

Death surely puts many things into perspective..

to see our family community here come together at a time like this speaks volumes..

I knew Marcia through the boards as a woman of great integrity, and fairness. She was just all around a lady of class. She never lost her sense of humor despite all the drama we put her through. One yeyebrow raise and we all fall back into line!

I hope her family and friends will find some comfort in remembering the happy occasions they shared with Marcia. She has gone to a well deserved rest.

All morning long, I've searched the recesses of my soul for words to post here but somehow, everything I come up with simply seems - inadequate...

To the family of Marcia "Ackeegirl" Davidson, our deepest condolences to you.

I was emailed this morning with the sad news that Marcia passed from this life on to the next and I immediately got a heavy feeling in my chest which remains there some 5 hours later. Marcia was, as many have expressed, somewhat the "big sister" of this vast online community. Her level-head and honesty - telling it like it was regardless of what others thought - was truly a part of the balancing act of Ja.com . Her "raised eyebrows" could put a smile on my face anyday...It is never easy to lose a loved one but remember that earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal.

Marcia:
It took me all this time to write something to you. You remember how you always told me I have the "gift of gab" and that my contributions were always a welcoming change? Somehow today, that gift has left me and I am simply left with tears.

We were suppose to link at the next Toronto Bashment remember? Maybe I'll see you at that great big bashment in the sky [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Save me a seat and save me some of the seafood [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

In Islam when reality day forms it's conclusion, we return to what we once were, to live out our eternity. Marcia will have a wonderful place in Allah's paradise, because of all the lives she touched.

Yes Bandido, I too loved and respected Marcia/Ackeegirl, though I have never met her in person.

A great loss to all of us. May she rest in peace.

Marcia was there for me before I met her.
I posted one time how de police treated me on one occasion and she posted phone numbers to the black action defence comittee and to the African...
The day I met her at R+ house I thanked her nuff cause I could feel the love from that one post long before. We hugged and hugged again as I thanked her like 5 times.

She always had advice for me from that day forward, she wanted to know wah mi a duh widmiself, and how de bablyon treatment is going.

I'm so saddened by this news, she even give mi mi avitar we became good friends talking on religion and just life. Mi nuh even kno wah mi a seh right now [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] I just talked to har not too long an when mi ahx har if she alright shi seh "yeah man I'm just restin" I can still hear har seh dat.
I'm glad I got to tell her I love her, and that was roun har Earthday.

I remember when I was going through a very rough period just about the time I joined the board....Marcia was very concerned and gave me some sound advice.....I will never forget hers or my other Ja.com family's support.
