I will separate myself from the unpleasant experience with Mr. Bestman. She will have enough stress to deal with, no need for me to add to it. If I must deal with him, it will be purely on a professional level and only about the wedding.

No. Beauty pageants can have a negative effect on some children. They tend to become extremely competitive and self-conscious about their looks. I don’t want my son or daughter seeking approval from anyone about his or her looks.
