Anyone ever hear a Jamaican spokey speaky twangy twingy when conversing with tourists?
That is the perfect example of being not what one is. So I guess same goes for foreigners attempting to speak a dialect not of their own.

Icannot agree with u on that. english is the language, patois is the dialect. the guy trying to speak to the foreigner simply recognises that is dialect wont be understood so he tries to communicate in a way that he believes would be understood. doing this is very much jamaican.

Not at all. You`re saying he is being very much a Jamaican by chatting in an un-Jamaican way.
If he would just relax and speak his normal way, the listener would understand even if wanting to ask questions. You admit that patwa is a dialect, a branch off the English language, so whats the deal twingy twanging and sounding like an *** wanting to disperse wind.
