I was driving on my way home from work.. thinking about this thread..

honestly who cares who wants to learn what.. speak what.. write what.... each his own for his own reasons..

would people prefer foreigners tell jamaicans that speak patois... speak english... or your dialect sounds terrible?

be honored that some are intrigued by it.. think it has a nice ring....

i for one think its an incredible connection .. a dialect shared like that.. that is not so easily learned like other languages...

its more than dialect.. its humor.. its a totally diff way of saying things.... there is an emotional context to it.

Can I intercede by saying that normally, a days worker that does some washing/laundry and irons/presses from say, 9 to 5 will get J$1500

Why some helpers will take the weeks minmum wage is because they live in, or live nearby without having to spend bus fare to go to and fro your home.
