She was a member of the Chevron Board of Directors. She may have been the only female member of the board... Chevron even named an oil tanker after her, the "CONDOLEEZZA". When she was appointed by Bush, she resigned from the board and they gave the tanker another name.

whenever i see a documentary which showcases members of the Black Panther etc, their diction is enviable when compared to what i hear being bandied by white, black,and indian chief these days

i watched a documentary recently re the band that defined the Motown sound...

those elderly gentlemen who grew up in segregation spoke with clear diction, in sentences, in a moderate tone, using punctuation in their spoken sentences

one man stated that his mother had studied classical music etc etc ...i say this to show that at one time, black diction was not defined as solely ebonics

so when did it become unblack to be educated and reflect said in speech and behaviour

i watched a documentary yessiday "glory in black and white" which told the story of the 1966 NCAA championship game....Kentucky wid Pat Riley of nowadays coaching fame was a star player vs Texas which fielded for the first time ever in America, 5 black starters....

the Texas team won paving the way for wat we see on bball courts today

those guys had the same stats coming into the game as Kentucky but had never garnered any press for obvious reasons...they were the underdogs for the game

the guys when interviewed later in life, post integration, said they played the game that they knew they could....it was not a race representative thing...they were goood ball players who found a coach in a Texas university , in a town where Mexicans lived and thereby they had acceptance more than elsewhere because of the sort of multi racial population

i say all this to say this bit

once they won, would u believe that the leaders of black civil rights of the day, had the nerve to say that the coach had 'used' them ....i guess the glory these guys brought to the black population was outshining their own so that was their opinion on that
