up to now i have expressed no opinion on ms rice...
have just asked for a definition of 'blackness'
am really curious as to how it is decided upon...
wat ms rice has said or not said about jamaica is another issue....

incidentally, i am used to educated women....all the young women i attended high school with r educated..the school we attended dictated that this was a must

ms rice has attended several schools and holds several degrees...on the issue of being educated, that remains to be seen and so far, i find the totality of what she has been afforded, deficient

bink, when you have black ppl down troddened all over the world and the secretary of state who is a black man walks out of dat said conference, it shows he is not with the rest of the blk ppl who suffer under many regiems.

Condi showed she is not with blk ppl when she ordered jamaica to remove aristide from the island. Also not with the haitians aagain blk ppl.

They are phoney towards the iraqi'a, lebonese, syrians, etc.

A ppl who "should" know about sufering should be able to relate but nuff a these cannot.

Emperah, i understand completely what you are saying. and, i see that as a good thing. one is not just their skin color.

for me, as a pale person having spent lots of years on this board and other places, i see this dichtomy ... raise up anyone black .... put down those who are not black enuf.

Did you ever stop to think that perhaps she is privy to facts that neither your nor I have access to? Why are you or anyone esle for that matter making her blackness an issue? IMHO she is acting in the capacity of the Secretary of State of an entire country not just the Black Race. That is Secretary of State not Queen of the United States. In that capacity can she do as she pleases even if what looks like her policies seem to go against the grain of a few? Wouldn't it be wisest to wait and see the outcome of what she is trying to do at the end of the day rather than rush to castigate her before she has even gotten started?
