Maybe the problem here its that *you* are too hung up on the fact that she is black,whereas others are simply looking at it from the viewpoint of her being the secretary of state.
Personally I couldnt care less if she was blue with pink spots,the ability to do her job is what should counts.

On the issues on her policies towards Jamaica or any other Caribbean/black countries,thats something entirely different,and not whether she`s "dissing" black people or not,try not to debate so emotively.

To answer the comments about why people get upset about black people who sell out...

Imagine if you can, Henry Kissinger or Paul Wolfowitz endorsing policy contrary to Israel's interests...

So why shouldn't black people be upset about black officials who endorse policies contrary to the interests of other black people...

The US supposedly is not a religious nation, yet since the 50's, the majority of US aid goes to Israel, Jewish policy makers are in high places in successive US administrations, Jews get paid reparations, etc., etc.

This just goes to show that it can be done: there is a place for everyone and the money can be found.

We have a lot to learn from our Israelite brethren. The Jews are admirable at standing their ground and getting their due. Many black people in high places are just dutty, filty, nassy sell outs like Armstrong Williams and Condoleeza Rice. I notice nooooobody was up in arms about Williams taking $$$ to endorse policies that harm the very community he is a part of; he just another "successful" black I suppose. :shrug:

I guess black people are doing soooooo damn well in the world that we have no need to fight for justice and it's each (wo)man for him or herself. Everything is just hunky dory and we are treated as equal with white people.

Well, since that's the case Patrice Lumumba, Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Kwame Nkrumah, Shirley Chisolm, Marcus Garvey, Jomo Kenyatta, MLK Jr., Malcolm X, Julius Nyerere, Frantz Fanon, Fred Hampton Jr., Harriet Tubman and Barbara Jordan wasted their time for black people who need no help whatsoever. They should have worked towards their own personal success.
