Ok evan .. but putting BND aside I wonder if the reaction would be the same if the statement was made by a Black Jamaican...and the said statement have been reiterated by a few jamaicans in this thread and in other threads of previous but seemed to go un-challenged 'til now.

Evano.. i have no problem with you disagreeing with anything i say.. weve had great dialogues in the past.. and learned from those discussions...

however your criticising others for taking pot shots at my personality.. or making assumptions. outside this statement..... but you led the pack with the following...

my mindset is that i am amazed to hear people who on one hand, coo and ooh over the earthiness of the 'real' jamaicans now state that this same said earthiness is due to their primitive take on life...their inability to stop procreating knowing that they cannot take care of the children...the same said children who provide such captivating captions when so prettily attired in their school uniforms on the way home from school in the country, the ongle 'real' place that exhibits the 'real' jamaica....so is either 'poverty and the trappings of poverty' r the 'real' jamaica or they r the bane of Jamaica and ...i am just amazed at the view of Jamaica given the time and day...nothing more nothing less...

One or two or chree or four encounters, in Jamaica, within or without the family structure does not qualify one to make blanket generalised statements about the culture without the understanding that it will be challenged......I say this independently of any bias or allegiance..over and out !!

i didnt make a blanket statement.. i made an observation and a criticism....

you live here.. so do half the board members.. you telling me you can't have any criticisms on life and culture here... BS and you know it..

too many of you been here too long.. and you get defensive if anyone especially a YT non jamaican offers any vantage points about your island...
