I was hired as a secretary and he was the sales manager.
The girls in the office warned me that he was a ladies' man and that I should stay away. I thought he was cute and at first I did stay away. He would flirt with me and I gave him the cold shoulder. The second week there, he went on vacation with a buddy of his to North Carolina. There was a hurricane there in the middle of the week so he called the office to see how things were going since they couldn't do much but stay in the hotel. I pick up the phone and he asked me out on a date. I said maybe, we'll see when you get back. I was impressed he was thinking of me while on vacation. I knew he was the one when I was pregnant with his child after only dating a month and he made me feel so safe. He was going to be there with me no matter what I decided. I decided to keep the child and he stayed with me. Marriage was never on my mind. A few months later we were having Chinese for supper and he gave me a fortune cookie. I cracked it open and inside was a ring with a little fortune asking, "Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes and we got married when I was 8 months pregnant. 9 years later we are still together. :love:

my roommate had a large dog...it had puppies...that was hmmmm let's see...1981. My roomate dated a fellow the next street over...he'd bring his roomate over...we had a fondness for cribbage at the time...actually i hated cribbage...but he was cute..so..Cards it is! HE developed a liking to one of the puppies, decided he'd take one...so of course, he HAD to come see the nice nice puppy daily...by the time the puppy had warmed his heart...i had too!

he was so darn cute walking that little puppy dog down the sidewalk...i just had to have him too.

I kinda knew right off he was the one...he reminded me of my dad...and i didn't have any urges to be rotten to him. A sure sign i was in love. hehehe.

We lived in sin for two more years...he got a small settlement from a workers comp case...that's when we decided to buy a house...just seemed logical to tie the knot...by then we were totally part of each other...have been ever since. Sorry...no mushy proposal here.

We will be married for 22 years on saturday.

2. I knew I would marry him on the first date

3. I just KNEW immediately (can't explain it)

4. We talked about it and got married in Jamaica in 2003.

We met and moved in together after dating one month, lived together for 18 months and got married in 5/03. We have been married for two years. :love: :love: :love:

We met on college campus 11 years ago!

He knew we would be married the first day he met me(so him seh)..but I saw him as a friend.

Figured he was the one after 9 years of friendship. He was there for me through a very trying time, when others weren't and that was a turning point.

He proposed thanksgiving 2002 at his family's home for dinner. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him (Dis was hard for him..cause he is painfully shy).The rest is history..2 years and loving it!!!

for me...just a feeling of comfort...like i had known him forever...and that i could see myself being with him forever. we had common interests in our love of the outdoors...he wasn't loud or obnoxious...was polite...and he liked to COOK....i just couldn't see passing him up.
