Linda.....it was the way he looked at me, I just had the feeling of being complete, and we understand each other.

We only met via the site, exhanged one e-mail and had our first date the next night. Sometimes people stay on the website to long before moving to really meeting the person.I would encourage anyone to try dating sites, it took me a couple of different sites before I found one I liked. I also had a few bad dates, but on the whole my experience was postive.

I encouraged my best friend to try it and she met her husband. They just got married in March '05.

Met in Jamaica...another friend introduced me to him. Knew the second time that I met him that I wanted to marry him...so I ran in the opposite direction as fast as I could. Decided after a couple more weeks of getting to know him that I should embrace the fear and start a relationship.

We talked about marriage by way of me filing for a fiance visa. That was how he came to the States, but he never did propose to me and even the day he arrived here I was unsure if we were really going to be married. The next day we were out and a stranger asked him why in the heck he would come to Boston in cold, cold February when he could be in warm, warm Jamaica. His answer "to marry her" as he pointed to me.

According to him, the next thing he knew he was in Vegas at the alter in a tux not quite sure how he got there!!

It has been 5-1/2 years now.

Mi meet my empress when mi go back a Jamaica fi di fuss time.. Mi did a nyam some ackee & salt fish wid three flowah and yam while a beat dung two red stripe pon mi granny front step. Den mi look up and here she comes wid her hair set wid rollers, skirt long dung tu ankle and shirt tie up innah front and expose belly botton. She had a slight twist to her walk and trust mi as mi see her mi ears dem stop work because mi no membah hearing one ting until she pass and go round a back to mi granny. Mi nevah want fi look ovah happy some mi play it cool. when she past back mi seh hello and wid her sweet voice and accent she reply. She continue walking and mi ask mi granny A WHO DAT!. Mi granny seh she live two doors ovah wid some people whe mi know from mi a yute so mi pick up mi self and trod ovah deh bold as evah. A di fuss time innah mi life mi evah go aftah woman. All di addah ones dem always come tu me.
From desso di story a book. Fi real..Member it like it was yesterday.. Once and a while it come innah mi head on how we met and how far wi come and now wi have little Narjah a run up and dung di place.

was hired as a secretary and he was the sales manager.
The girls in the office warned me that he was a ladies' man and that I should stay away. I thought he was cute and at first I did stay away. He would flirt with me and I gave him the cold shoulder. The second week there, he went on vacation with a buddy of his to North Carolina. There was a hurricane there in the middle of the week so he called the office to see how things were going since they couldn't do much but stay in the hotel. I pick up the phone and he asked me out on a date. I said maybe, we'll see when you get back. I was impressed he was thinking of me while on vacation. I knew he was the one when I was pregnant with his child after only dating a month and he made me feel so safe. He was going to be there with me no matter what I decided. I decided to keep the child and he stayed with me. Marriage was never on my mind. A few months later we were having Chinese for supper and he gave me a fortune cookie. I cracked it open and inside was a ring with a little fortune asking, "Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes and we got married when I was 8 months pregnant. 9 years later we are still together.

yes Peppah yu done know. Sometimes when tings are right yu just know yu see mi. God only give a man dem moments deh once or twice and if yu let it go by yu end up getting sumaddi whe no right fi yu. Yah man.. walk ovah deh and ask fi hear tu. Mi friend dem did a laugh aftah mi when mi a trod up deh because dem seh di old man ovah deh no lowe no bwaay up deh. I did'nt give a dyam..What is for me cannot be un-for me. Skank up deh and seh mi greetings and small chat and ask striaght out. finally we meet, i had a ring ready.
Pop the question... just as she mouth open and formed to say "No" ... i cracked a wooden club (i fprtunately had packed with me) over her head, knocking her out. took her before a pastor, and 5 years later, we still married.

ahhhh.. dats soooo romantic.. now unno meck mi wanna bawl.. *sniff* *sniff*
