But this brings to mind, when hurricane Ivan swept across Jamaica, electricty was shut down island-wide. I remember hearing the news broadcast about this and was chatting with a friend of mine. I said 'can you imagine if they did that here in Florida?' He laughed and said 'it could never happen because the people would be in uproar'. [/qb]

I know that Treasure Beach had no current for 3 weeks after Ivan. It was probably like 2 weeks that people had to drive to get water. [/qb]

We are all simply trying to point out to you that what we in America have come to expect/demand, many citizens of the world consider an extravagant luxury. Hence the reason why they would say Americans are spoiled.
