....the teachings of the bible? I have noticed some negative vibe toward Chistianity in this forum. Do you have something against it? Are you a Christian who lack faith in you religion?
What are your thoughts on Christianity. Please share.
Chistianity is my path. It was MY choice. I stand up for my religion and the teaching of the word becasue I am a believer.
I believe that God create the heavens and the earth
I believe every word in the Bible
I believe in the father, son and the holy spirit
I believe that the seventh day of the week is the Sabath and it must be kept holy
I believe that through the blood of Jesus I have a second chance
I believe in the resurrection
I believe in the advent.

How about Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny?
Fledgist, please do not try and mash up the thread by changing the subject.
How do you feel about CHRISTIANITY? I did not ask you about any Paganistic influence.
Please dont stray from the topic. Thank you.

I'm staying on topic. If you believe in one kind of mumbo-jumbo, why not in another?

Fledgist..it is not nice to speak so rudely of someone's spiritual convictions/beliefs. If you don't have a spiritual belief, this question was really not for you. Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy and The Easter Bunny have nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity. It may be what you consider mumbo-jumbo because there is no truth to their existence. But we who believe in The Lord God, who created you and keeps you alive btw, do not appreciate your lack of respect for Christianity.
Maybe you'd like to share what it is you do believe, other than defending the rights of homosexuals which I have noticed you doing a lot.
I, personally, have never read what you believe in on a inspirational or religious level. Do share.

thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts on christianity..
yes,I do have something against it,not just christianity, but religion as a whole.
I think that religion is one of the biggest obstacle to world peace,it divides men against each other,it has always been the main antagonist for hate,wars,bigotry,prejudice,homophobia,...* most *people that follow religion in my opinion are mis-guided,self righteous, hypocritical, and sel- deluded.
they fear for their souls, believing that they will be "saved" by simply turning up at church now and again, and quoting scriptures from the bible parrot fashion.
the world would have been a more peaceful place were it not for christianity,..and religion.
christianity is full of hypocrisy, and inconsistencies from the bible for it to ever be credible in my book. some of those who adhere to it tend to be far worse than those they consider to be *sinners*..or *heathens*.
and if there really is a "god",or a "hell" then some of these so-called christians will be the very first to be charged with hate and bigotry and thrown into the fire.
however,as I dont believe that a so-called *god" exists, and as I dont care what was written in the bible thousands of years ago,and even if there was a *god* I still wouldnt *worship* him or her, because from what I have seen so far,if there really is one, then he/she is doing a pretty bad job of things.
thanks again hills princess for asking
Well neutral, that is very interesting. I always wonder how is it that people do not believe. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Telling me that some imaginary being, belief in which was imposed on our ancestors by their owners, created me is rude, frankly.
Fledgist, here's a question out of curiosity: Since you have no belief in God or any spiritual powers, what's your belief about the purpose of human existance and where we came from?

I feel the blood spilling history of Christianity speaks for (or should I say against?) itself. Also, it is a "do as I say, not as I do" belief. "God" says it's wrong to kill, but then again if you kill in "God's" name it's OK (meaning the early day Christian Crusaders). And when you look at the big picture, "God" has shed more blood than any other creature alive, added to the fact that this "God" is the same God responsible for the evil in the world. But yet, for those that choose not to believe in "Christianity", are doomed to Hell. Wait a second, (looking throught the Bible...hold on...let me see here...hmmm...) I can't seem to find a scripture that makes "Christianity" so speacial anyway. Please help me uncover the mystery.

There is no more sabbath. Now Lets not argue lets discuss this.. Let the bible speak for itself. Show me where god told New testament christians to practice the sabbath
The sabath day was for the children of Isreal because they were under the law. we are no longer under the Law...
"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Col 2 vrs 16
The Law was nailed to the cross. It was our school master to guide us untill that which was perfect should come...
"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. col 2
