I feel the blood spilling history of Christianity speaks for (or should I say against?) itself. Also, it is a "do as I say, not as I do" belief. "God" says it's wrong to kill, but then again if you kill in "God's" name it's OK (meaning the early day Christian Crusaders). And when you look at the big picture, "God" has shed more blood than any other creature alive, added to the fact that this "God" is the same God responsible for the evil in the world. But yet, for those that choose not to believe in "Christianity", are doomed to Hell. Wait a second, (looking throught the Bible...hold on...let me see here...hmmm...) I can't seem to find a scripture that makes "Christianity" so speacial anyway. Please help me uncover the mystery. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] [/qb]

However, some claim that they believe and then BLATANTLY indulge in premarital sex (fornication), adultery (including fooling around with a married man ), pornography, racism ,and a HOST of other practices that are clearly contrary to scripture.

Ok, and your point is? Why didn’t you also mention murders, lies, deceit, lesbianism, orgies, and fights. Oops, I guess you didn’t know about those either, did you.? Ok, so now that you know go and spread it to the rest of the world and see how many blessings you’ll get.

You know what I love about my God, I can always go to Him and confess my sins and ask for him for forgiveness. He’s not going to look at me and say those nasty things you just said.

I have noticed a negative vibe toward non-Christian beliefs and non-believers. Do Christians have something against them? Are Christians people who lack the ability to accept others that are not like them? What are your thoughts on non-Christian people and beliefs? I believe that people are entitled to believe whatever they choose to. The Bible says that God gave us the freedom to choose our own paths.

There are some people who call themselves "Christains", who forget that God Are Christians people who lack the ability to accept others that are not like them?gave everyone freedom to choose and take it up in their own hands to condemn others and judge their fate. But please do not let that discourage you from discovering what Christanity is all about. Christainity is about loving others, sharing, caring, being kind to your neighbours amongst other things.

True Christians treat their neighbours how they would like to be treated, therefore, they will not do or say things to make you feel less than a person.

Are Christians people who lack the ability to accept others that are not like them?
This is a more personal question, thus, I cannot speak for everyone when I say that there are all sorts of people who are intolerant of others due to the nature of their belief(s). Not all Christans are like that, and not all non-christians are like that.

Why do Christians feel that they are the only people living the "right" way?
We believe that we are living the right way because our faith says so. How can someone live in a manner they don't think is right? The Bible states how we should live and gives us many reasons to believe that it is the truth.

If you want to find out, go to the closest church in your neighbourhood and tell the pastor you want to find out if the only way to live right is to become a christian. Tell him you need Bible study and someone to speak to if you want to have a discussion or ask questions. After you do that, come back and tell me if you believe it is the right way to live. Don't get the glass houses statement. I already stated that no one is perfect but I am not guilty of any of the things that I mentioned as examples and yes, any number of sinful attitudes and beahviours including the ones you listed could have been used as examples. It would have been a long list.

I answered your question. It is the actions that count. That is the essence of Christianity allowing the Lord to transform us by His Spirt and by the Word. That is what faith without works is dead means. My position regarding the Bible and Christianity has been stated clearly many times. I have always made it clear since arriving on the board that I am a born again Christian and that I believe the Bible. My issues have to do with the action part of it and how Christianity is (not) practiced by many of those claiming to be evangelical Christians in North America.

You don't know how I live my life, so you cannot come and tell me that I am living my life wrong.
