Ochigal, I do know TS's story, and I hate to disagree w/ you, but I think that there was a hint of sarcasm in her post. Yes she does understand that love, but for her, she took years to cultivate that love, and did not go ga ga and move to Ja after her first trip.

I am so sorry Trelawnysmall, I also thought that post was from a man.

Please forgive me, I need to calm down, it is just that I am trying to figure out how I am going to get back to Ja before the year ends and it is taking a little work.

I am trying to wait for my girlfriends to return but nobody seems as interested as I am. Even after reading all of the information I am still a little apprehensive about going alone. I just started going to the movies alone so I don't think I am ready to take a trip to Ja alone yet.
I'll figure something out.

BB...I hear ya. Tsmall is someone who I have never met...not yet anyway...but I still see and feel her goodness so felt the need to defend her right away without even realizing today was moving day.

Dr. Dudd, yes there was some slight sarcasm in her post but I knew it wasnt the level that sunshinechic imagined. It is obvious from Sunshines response that she misunderstood and actually thought Tsmall was a jamaican man.

no one is denying the HIGH. oh JAH, that HIGH...and no, i dont mean the smoke either. and i dont mean to come off like i am some sort of expert on this issue because if anything, the only thing ive managed to perfect is getting hurt. i am presently nursing a recent heartache [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] with someone that one month ago i would have described as "one of the good ones." so with the high can come a low that i wouldnt wish on anyone. we only say be careful, smart, and patient.

I have been reading all the things being said and have decided to add to it. A firend of mine came over with a relative visiting from JA- a guy. I asked him about the gigolo situation and farin women. I also have JA male friends who definitely are not gigs (they call them). These guys have total disdain for the gigs. But you know what most of them seem to agree on- is that these women, if they dont think JA has females on the island. Jamaica has some of the most beautiful women. You might not see them in the tourist areas but they are there. How come all these guys are supposedly single. They feel that the women ask for it basically.

You sound like you got it going on, girl, so just enjoy the memories and the moments to come. Also, the thing with the eyes--it must be a genetic trait because I experienced it while I was there and someone else on the board made mention of it. Who cares, right? It feels good so go with it. As far as acting like a teenager again, well, that feels good, too! My next birthday I am turning one of those monumental ages for a woman(I won't tell), however, I don't look it and I am going to play it for as long as I can. I needed every single sight, sound, image and experience from my trip to Ja and I wouldn't change one minute of it and plan to go back for more.

I am curious about something and figure this is as good a place to post it as any. Anyone that goes to Jamaica on a regular basis soon learns that it is a relatively small place. We come home and soon start participating in any and all boards that feed our addiction. We soon learn we have friends in common, have shared the same joys and sadness, have even been perhaps played in a similar manner. One time I learned that my good friend was dating the same man as a friend of another good friend. And here is what I am curious about.... Has anyone else read about a poster's man, love, whatever, only to see him with another woman in Jamaica? (I don't mean in a simple friendship way). Or perhaps the attempt has been made by that person to pick-up you or a friend.

oh yeah, it's just like when I meet a man here where I live, I just think that I am the only woman that he has ever talked to and/or dated and I am the only woman that he will ever talk to and/or date... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]
