There once was a time when women were posting their husbands/ boyfriends name on the board in an attempt to see how faithful they are. I haven't seen that happen in awhile.

No disrespect intended but I say keep things you know to your self. Relationships among other people are none of your (or any other board members buisness)... you are only going to cause heartache and grief to someone else. People find out what they need to know when they need to know it.

Gosh I'm sorry. Was just curious if this had happened to others as this is such a small community. One of the many reasons so many guys in Jamaica hate the Internet. Regardless, I have no intention whatsoever of being anyone's messenger. I have enough trouble dealing with my own life.

I think there is a lot of useful information in this thread. As with all areas of life, it should be taken with a grain of salt. Not everyones experience(s) in Jamaica will dictate your own.

Read this thread, learn somehting new, and travel to Jamaica with an open mind and open heart. Many board members have found love in Jamaica, this can certainly happen for you too.

As much as I enjoyed this post, all good things must and do come to an end. Things are starting to get too personal, and out of fairness I feel it is time to move on to a new subject. Usually I only lurk, and have totally enjoyed what I have read. I have found this thread the most interesting. So often I could say to myself, yup that happened, oh yeah that too, uh huh experienced that also. Thanks everyone for sharing. I have to add though that I must have missed something with these most recent posts. (I was able to read all before changed) I read what I think started it and no where did she post a name,infer one, or suggest she was intending on posting one. What I took out of it was that she was simply asking if anyone else had seen a guy
with someone he shouldn't have been with. I have and it is an awful feeling. Just want to let you know I think I understand what you were trying to ask.

Since I started this, I can't help but jump in for its closing, or one of [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] . I did not anticipate so many responses, although I was aware that this topic was multi-dimensional. I also saw the potential for friction/difference in opinion. I respect these differences but spoke out when I felt like certain advice could be taken the wrong way by someone new...suggesting to pretend to be gay or have AIDS is not wise to tell someone that doesnt understand the culture.

I appreciate the fact that so many people shared parts of their lives that perhaps they aren't very proud of or are painful. I have said before, everything must be taken with a grain of seasalt because every situation is different. Even if you met the same person I was just hurt by, your experience won't necessarily be the same. It is instinctual for many of us to protect others and I would like to believe we all had this in common regardless of which side of the issue we were on, on any given day.

LOVE is lovely, nah true? But who said it can warm the hearth or burn down your house? My house is presently in ashes but trus' me, me soon rebuild it... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I have not given up on love or men, yardy or otherwise. Here it is September 11th and I think it is appropriate to say that I have not given up on people.
