Well in my family when someone dies we pour out a little liquor at the cemetary onto the grave. It's kinda like we're toasting to the life that the person lived!!!

sigh I am speachless...Just read this report from start to finish...I laughed...I smiled...I cried...I cried some more...I cried a WHOLE LOT. It was better than any oscar winning movie or prize winning book.

Thanks Ochii and shortee and everyone. Jamaicans.com is going to put my trip report on a page of the website and I am so so honored. This site has helped me to develop my writing skills, and Vi made me step up to the plate. It was in me, but it took you all to bring it out. Thank you all so much.

I was so anxious to read this particular report to her. She encouraged me so much with my writing. All I can do now is work to do even better.

I have truly enjoyed your trip report and al the photos, how wonderful. You just ripped my heart again and agian, especialy by the following: " The van is silent.....where is the body because this is surely a funeral ? I don't want to look at you...my beautiful Caribbean."
I can relate to it so well. I visit the island pretty well every year and I stay for a month or longer and every time I leave, I do feel like I am in the funeral rocession and I can't help but cry and cry and cry. And it doesn't help the matters, that all the villa staff cries with you, as you are one family, ONE LOVE!!!! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I am glad you had a great time and now my question is: WHO IS WHERE IN MID FEBRUARY and who wants to meet for a redstripe or a good homemade rum punch at the villa in Mobay????.

I am there for 3 weeks and will be in Mobay the 1st and 2 week, beside daily trips to tour varied properties and then at Prospect villas for the week of Feb.28, as I am taking some VIPs with me [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] Got a great deal...good to be in this business [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

i went to the groundbreaking for a new community centre near May Pen, and part of the ritual was killing a goat on the premises, and pouring a drop of rum in the corners. so it's not always about flat beer. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
