co-workers have come to my desk to comfort me...how do you explain weeping for someone you don't know...how do you explain weeping because you miss home...and someone that you only met online knew exactly how to write out your feelings...how to pull at your heart strings...Marilyn you are awesome...a class act all the way.

So sorry about your' cousins passing. How wonderful you must have made her feel when reading to her. And letting her hear the sea was Gods gift to you both.

I am so sorry to learn of your cousin's passing may you find comfort in knowing she saw and experienced beloved through you...she can now see it too....because she will continue to live in and through you...so on your next visit home you will also be taking her along

Everyone thank you so much. When my mother called me at work she told me to get a co-worker in the room with me and then she told me. The tears rolled, but before I left, I turned around and finished that last part of the trip report. I was going to read it to her tonight, but I know now that she has already read it.

It is time for me to put into practice the lessons I learned at the Nine Night. I am ok. It was a life extremely well lived. She never gave up her home to go to one of those nursing homes. She paid a lady to come in. She died, as they said about Jackie Kennedy, surrounded by her books and her things.

She told her care giver that she felt hot, and the lady went across the street to get something for her, and when she returned, she was gone.

She was a faithful wife who stayed with her husband until death parted them. She had no biological children, but raised two, very well. She was another mother to me, and a partner in crime against my Mom about my trips to Jamaica.

Through all of you, she has been there many times. She just adored Vi's trip report especially. She was elegant and lady-like and had perfect diction. She was well read, and very very sharp. She and my mother had an animated discussion just last night. She breathlessly told Mom about the "ocean calling from Jamaica."

My mother is having put in her Eulogy that her spirit rode that Jamaican wave to heaven today.

I'm ok. I am going to do this the Jamaican way.
