Murry, clear the table off, I am getting up. First of all, that man that came looking for me that sold the X-rated tapes does not represent the kind of men that I normally attract, nor is it a testament of my bahaviour. Man, yall hating on me I know. What is it that they say, honey attracts bees....Hah!

Secondly, that Raymond, YBob's friend that owns the resturant, well he is really fine as well. Ladies I heard no shouts about him, plus he is a owner of a thriving business. All I hear is about that man with the red towel. A large red towel I might add and it hung perfectly, no overage. There are a couple of things that come to mind while looking at that picture but I dont want to get the choir started, so I will refrain.

Third, Marilyn forgot to tell you about the rolling electrical outage. We were sitting on the balcony, both couples enjoying her music on our balconies (which was next to each other) when all of a sudden...darkness. I always bring candles to the caribbean because I love ambiance, it's a must with me. The soft glow of candles, a little incense burning, good liquor, a little this and that, good friends, music...life is perfect. So, I took two of my candles over to Marilyn and her honey and we continue our reasoning on our balconies. Before you know it, you are in the groove, really relaxed, eyes adjusted to the darkness, your entire countenance is mellow and all is well......then the lights come on. WHYYYYYYYYY [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

Lastly, that little boy was a treaure. We tried to get him to hold still while Marilyn took his picture but he kept running around with those braids flying. He fell and hurt his arm and we had to capture that expression. Then we told him how beautiful he was and he kept laughing at the very notion that he could be beautiful. His little Jamaican accent in the making was music to my ears. When he finally understood that we really did want to take his picture and that he could see it instantly, he cooperated and started showing off as much as he could. No doubt, this little man will break many hearts in just a few years. He broke mine just thinking that my child bearing years are over....hell, let me stop lying. I am so glad those days are over. It is wonderful admiring children when you know you are not responsible for them.

Let me go back and read those last couple of days, I know Marilyn forgot something

I know what I forgot:

FRI: The morning started out perfect, sun shinning and hot. It soon gave way to coulds and then rain. Our window was close to the ground and there was a lot of floage around the window. My bed allowed me to turn to one side and look at the ocean, but if you wanted to lay completly straight, you would not be able to see the ocean. Honey had already gotten up and was stiring around the apartment when I realized that we spoke so many times on the phone when it was raining and wish that we could be there together listening to the rain drops and laying in bed relaxing. So I got up, pulled the bed over to the window, straightened out the cover and called honey back to bed. I pushed the window wide open and there we layed, listening to the sounds of rain dropping on large leafs outside my windown. The sound was heavenly and soon we began dozing. Just when I felt myself falling off that clift into deep sleep, "ANGIE...YOU UP....ANGIE....GIRL, YALL EVER COME UP FOR AIR....YOU COME ALL THE WAY TO JAMAICA....SHOOT", and the door slams. I say to honey that Marilyn is back and ready to go. I open my door and call her back in, she comes in with her honey and go into the bedroom and stops dead in her tracks. She calls him and and they begin joking that things had gotten so good that the bed completly crossed the room. I explained, but Marilyn would not hear of it. Anyway, we dress and leave for Raymonds resturant. She tells you about the resturant and the day, but when we return home, the floor in the bedroom is full of water. In all the excitment, we forgot to close the window and it continued to rain in there all morning. The maid tried to soak it up, but it was obvious that she did her best and gave up. Honey and I laughed so hard because I have this habit of doing something to each hotel room that I stay in while in Jamaica. Not on purpose, but it always happens.

Saturday morning did have to come right? So Angie is dragging around trying to pack and not wanting to. I am just sick at heart. We try to be big girls though because we did this once a few days ago, and there is no sense in prolonging it. We go together down to the office to give Miss Carvey a gift we brought her, but she is not at work so we leave it with the front desk. It is here that I say goodbye to Angie and her honey. I’m just sick for her. She is leaving her Jamaica and her man who loves her so. How hard must this be????

After she leaves I went to the pool to wait for Chef. He came to get some Tupperware and glasses we brought Libby. I am already by the pool drumming up some business for him. I met a very proper English Lady and her traveling companion, a drop-dead gorgeous girl of Pakistani decent. We start talking and it is their first day there after a grueling plane trip. I ask about their plans and tell them all about Jamaica and what to do there. We make an appointment to have breakfast at Fisherman’s beach the next morning. I want to show them something real. It will be the morning that I am to leave so it will distract me.
My room phone rings. When I answer it is the front desk telling me that a truck is arriving with my new couch.

Great, my last day here and they are redecorating. The couch arrives and it is lovely, chair to match and bar stools, all cover in the same fabric. Why couldn’t this have been here the whole time so I could enjoy it???????
Honey comes over and we spend a good part of the day together, mostly sitting out on my balcony and silently starring at the sea. After he leaves I go down to the little store on the property and buy a bottle of Ostrov (Jamaican vodka). It along with some Ting help me bear my last night in Jamaica. I do nothing but stay home and listen to the tree frogs.

Sunday- The final day

I wake at the crack of dawn as usual. There is nothing for me to do but wait until a decent hour to call the ladies to go to breakfast at Fisherman’s beach. I have no music because I have had to pack. I turn on the TV and pace back and forth between my room and my balcony. Finally I call them and they are wide-awake dressed and waiting on me. They invite me over for coffee. I drink a little of it and tell them we have to get going because honey is picking me up at 9:00.

On the way down they notice that I am sad. It is because I have decided to end this relationship. They ask why and I give them all of my reasons. The beautiful one has met him and she tells me I will be insane to let him go. I just can’t bear this conflicted feeling, but by the time we reach Fisherman’ s Beach they have convinced me that a little happy is better than none at all.

Beautiful TURNS FISHERMAN”S BEACH OUT. My boys bout died. She’s a vegetarian, and loves the calliloo, banana and dumpling. The guys all come over and chit and chat, especially Lester. Some man thankfully decides to take a nude bath and they get to see that. Beautiful sends me over to ask if she can take a picture. The man tells me “this is Jamaica, tell her she can do whatever she wants to do.” Well……

They are just floored by Fisherman’s beach. I let beautiful use my cell phone to call her fiancé back in England. She is so grateful. She misses him a lot and wants to let him know. She says he is a 6’3” kickboxing champ with a slamming body. She is a criminal defense lawyer (or Solicitor as they call them in England). Her friend is a law clerk in another office.

She cannot stop saying in that beautiful English accent.” what luvlay people”, over and over and over. She says that the folks back home seriously questioned their decision to come to Jamaica. She said many people said terrible things about it. I told her that I was so glad she came to see for herself. I have hooked them up with chef and I sincerely hope they will go out with him some and see more.

I tell her that the people she just met are very poor and live from day to day. If anyone had a reason in this world to be bitter it might be they, but see how nice they are. It is not lost on them and they learn a good lesson this morning. I also told them that I have just taken them someplace that no tour guide would.

When we get back Honey had arrived. Beautiful tells him that they have talked some sense into my head and he is pleased. We go back to my room and drink the last bottle of champagne on my balcony. Around 10:30 we leave for the airport. I take one last look at my newly redecorated room before I close the door for the final time.

Along the way to the airport we make SEVERAL stops for Red Stripe. We go to that pretty Oasis station for gas and all of the workers are in pirate costumes and they are blasting the sound track from Peter Pan on the speakers. Ok I gotta get pictures of this!!!.

EVERYONE, you Have to go to the bathroom there. It is something to see!!!!!!

When we get to the airport it is the usual, and goes smoothly. Then there is the last kiss, last hug, and we both walk away “Don’t Turn Around.”
No tears this time. How would that be possible? The dead don’t cry.

I blankly walk into the perfume store and buy some Itsi Miaki. I walk to the liquor store, but decide I don’t want to be bothered.

I took one petal from one of my roses and I pull it out during the flight and feel it and smell it. My flight home goes smoothly. I return to Memphis to torrential rains and a hurricane. My neighbors trees are all blown down and we are in a several hour power failure. I am alone in a candle lit house with only the phone and Angie to help me get through being back. Only thing is, she needs help too.

This trip was just magnificent. I feel so proud of Angie and me. GFT is off and running, the only thing is how do I ever leave Jamaica?

Lissen, your girls are right, why let di man go, you can always go bak again and again and again, why nat to him? Please, always remember life is too short, live and love, girl and it's better to do it with one you love than without them.
About the flowers, lol, I took pics of the first roses I got from the one I love, they are forever close to my heart, that's not a small thing for them to do, trust me. I cherish the memory every time I look at the pics.

Thanks Marilyn and AngieB such a fine trip report... again. Makes being here in the cold alikkle more tolerable for alikkle while anyway.
