Negril - Pics, Pics, and more Pics

Hi everyone. I've lurked and posted on this site for years. Back in the day when it was only one forum and Dr. Dudd seamed to be the only poster. I've had a lot of display names (2sxxee, Boardrat, [original] Sweetsop [banned] etc. But mostly just Scottie. I've only met a few of you in person, though many of you know me from the story I've posted (probably too many times) about how I met my wife in Negril. Instead of posting the story again, I'll be happy to email it to anyone who might find interest in reading it. Update: The story is reposted on page 2 of this thread...

Anyway, I'd like to introduce my family to all of you and share some pictures of our latest visit to Jamaica...


From left is Jerome age 19. He is now in the U.S. Air Force and stationed in Lompoc, CA. Next to him is Jordan, age 11, Beverley, (can't reveal her age and live), Isaiah, age 13 and of course me. This was taken at Dunn's River Falls.

I have been to Dunn's River many times. Most of the time it is crowded with people in one big long line climbing the falls.



For that reason I was reluctant to take the trip from Negril. A few years ago, Beverley wanted soo bad to go cause she had never been there and having also taken some local Negril kids there, I was amazed at how excited Jamaicans are at going to these falls.



So she insisted on taking the kids to see the falls on this trip. As you can see, we had the place almost all to ourselves and that made for a totally different experience. Needless to say, we ALL had a great time.

Scottie, so glad I ran into you at Selina's after all this time! It was great to finally meet you and enjoyed our chat.

If I knew I could go to Dunn's and have no one there as you did, I'd be there in a heartbeat. It looks so beautiful without the human link crawling all over the rocks.

No wonder so many photographers use these falls as a back drop. Okay that's it for Dunn's River. I hope that wasn't overkill. Now it's back to Negril, then up to Nonpareil and Grange Hill.
