Yeah, that zoom lense is cool....

It was so funny that everyone in our yaad was calling it "Vi's" camera. It was the perfect gift for us.

Another thing about Roaring River that I learned last trip ~

While it is beautiful up there rain or shine, any time of day, staying until late in the day, 5 or so, is something special. It becomes so beautiful it looks other-worldly.

Mr. JB and I were standing on one of the rocks of the grotto, and we suddenly noticed what happened with the changing light.

At the same time we turned to each other and I said "Jah is here.", and he said "God is blessing us".

That's how beautiful it is.

Make sure you take plenty of pictures of the Dominican Republic, I hear that is one beautiful beach.

Wahhh..I wanna wear the braids. I had braids done last year when I went. Loved loved loved the convience of it! It was so great not having to "do" my hair. Unfortunately when I took them out at home I lost SOOOOO much hair I thought I was seriously going to have bald spots. (braids weren't to tight either).I started freaking out..crying and everything! Needless to say I did not get braids this last time.

Don't worry about the hair loss Cinni. My hair dresser and partner in crime says that the hair that you lose is natural hair loss. You lose a lot of hair daily, but when braided it doesn't have anywhere to fall so it looks like a lot when you take out the braids.

One time in Mobay, I had my hair braided in micro braids. It took 2 girls 3 1/2 hours to put in 100+ braids (I got a lot of hair). It took 2 of us 11 hours to take them out. I had to take a nap break in the middle. Never again [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Jabuddah, you two are happy, you can see it in your faces. Scotty is smiling so hard, it made me laugh.

Now, talking about the pictures. Now Mr. Everton is weraing the you know what out of those boots....and those abs are really nice as well. Something about that rugged look I can appreciate. Ok Marilyn, I can hear you now...don't say it.

Vi, count me in on the day at RR. The verdict is still out as far as the hair, but I will be there underneath the water with you no matter what. Plus, lets stop for a swim first at the blue hole. We can make an entire day of it....jumping in one swimming hole after another. Ooohhhh, I', so excited ladies.

You know.. after all these years.. i have yet to go to Roaring River..... its always on my agenda.. and then i cut it out.. fearing it will be too crowded.. too many tourists...... but each time i see it posted.. it looks quite inviting.. and people seem to feel spiritual there....

JB you sure look at peace.. and happy there.... same as all the time mother Queen posted her shots from the same place.... you both love it..

Angie - sounds perfect! I was sold on visiting RR when Jahbuddah's family went there during her wedding. uummm JB did I get that right??? I believe it was her uncle who could not be torn away from the waters.

OK, I see you all have Cinni covered.

I had braids while I was waiting for the perm to grow out of my hair, pre-dreds. I have such thick hair, those ladies HATED me. Just regular size braids (this was pre-microbraids) took 2 women 9 hours to put in.

Angie ~ Mr. Abs is none other than Benji, the owner of the place. Everton is on the other side of Mr. JB.

BND ~ while, on occasion there has one other group at RR when we were there, it has never been crowded, by any means. It is always a nice quiet place, except when I am there, of course. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

It is a spiritual place, and very rustic. Not everyone's taste. I think you would like it. You would definitely put your camera to work.

Vi~ Yes you are right. We went to RR 2 days after the wedding, to celebrate Queenb's birthday, New Year's Day.

But the one we couldn't get out of the water was my only sibling, my brother. He was so excited to go there. All he talked about before he got there was how he couldn't wait to get into the "min'ral wata".
