Honestly they pointed the dangerous spot out to me and said "Nuh step heyah". But a few hours later and several Stripes and some sun and the intoxicating rush of water, and the desire to tease Queen B, and I forgot and stepped right in the path of the current where they told me NOT to go, and that was that.

Like with everything else in Jamaica, use your head, and common sense (which I didn't), and you will be just fine.

Hey, it's a pretty primal place and you can live out all your Maureen O'Hara (that's Jane as in Tarzan and Jane for you youngsters) fantasies.

Benji looks so happy, relaxed, and totally in his element. When he came to get the school supplies he was so FORMAL.

I love your suit and wrap, really looks nice on you.

And hubby looks like he is comfortable there as well.

Laurel ~ It is not too difficult to get in, especially now when the water is high. Just ask Benji where to go down. If you listen to him, you'll have no problem.

Marilyn ~ Well, I guess nobody is the same all the time. We were just having alot of fun that day. I dialed Queenb's cell # and handed Benji the phone. That picture was me getting an earful from her for it.

Thanks about the wrap. That's the one I bought at the booths next to Coconuts that day with the quiet step-Jahbuddah. It has starfish embroidered on it. I just love shopping for wraps. I should have put that on my top 5 things to do while in Jamaica.

Oh My God - This place looks so very amazing!! Is it far from Negril? I can totally see that some 'primal communing with nature' action will be going on when we get there.

Oh - you ladies ... I am so very jealous of all of you with your countdown to your next trip to close at hand.

I was watching TV last night, some report about the amazing love story between President and Nancy Regan. I was never a big fan of either of them - but kudoos to them for their total devotion to each other for more than 50 some years; and I HATE Jennifer Lopez - but the tears of envy rose when I heard about yet another wedding and love story for her. What a pleasure to see the love and devotion beaming from Mr. and Mrs. JahB in these photos ..... and you all are connecting again so soon with our Beloved Jamaica, and with your Beloved Lovers and the Potential Lovers (for those either in-between or still searching). Of course - we all think that our own Beloved is The Best - and I totally know that my Bushman IS THE BEST ... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] ... and at this moment I am so depressed because he is there and I am here, and our next confirmed date has not been set yet ... but as soon as it is - we will definately be carving out time for Benji's. We have got to experience this!

Glad you like it Laurel, I enjoyed going back there with you.

It's true this place is natural and unspoiled, but with Benji and his crew taking care of your every need, primal is not the word I would choose.(Sorry Marilyn, but that's how I feel, no disrespect)

It is a carefully laid out and mantained naturalist retreat. Benji works very hard to keep it clean and safe, without losing the impression that it's just like that naturally. I'm sure it takes alot of hard work to keep it so.

I feel very lucky that he shares it with us all. I'm not sure I would be able to be so generous in his place.

Anyway, you guys have me on a picture downloading roll, what a nice way to spend my day off.

Here's a really good one of the Blue Hole that my mother took on our way to Benji's last November.



One of the cane trucks that I menioned earlier.


If you look carefully in the center of this picture, you can see passionfruit growing in the hybiscus hedge in our yaad. I was hoping to try it, but it didn't get ripe before I had to leave.


This is off the bridge on the way from town to the beach in Negril.


My favorite place to watch the sunset, at Coconuts International, in Negril.


OK, sunset off the cliffs ain't bad either. This was our wedding day sunset.


I love watching the rain approaching from the sea. This is last November.

A woman from my office just returned from Negril - she has not had time to give a detailed day by day report yet .... I just stopped by to see her and she gave me her disk of photos.
