Auntie M...We went to Amnesia too..my first time and it was dead dead dead!! We were there on Sat night...i guess the night you were celebrating Angies bday. Amnesia looked like a great place to party and I will for sure try it another time. We did dance a little but, the vibe was different.
My two boys are doing great! As soon as I am done reading your report I will start mine and post some pics.

Just not anything to 'report' ... I threw out a blurb here and there. But nutthin anybody wants to hear. Lot's of good luvin, met lot's of great new people that were new Guests at The Bird; met lot's of great new people that are friends of the staff; played some WICKED Dominos; met some boardies - enjoyed their company; spent some 'good quality time' with Miss Sonia (LOVE HER!!) ... ate well, loved well, and laughed like I meant it.

At the end of my rope I had to go home, but it was ok with me for everyone else to just stay if they liked. Oh no, Marshall was NOT going to leave his Vi behind. No amount of me or Vi arguing with him that she was a big girl and that she had been left at Amnesia before would do. I mean it got UGLY. Worse yet, when we got home Vi was mad at ME. Wha mi do?????? I guess cause I brought Daddy Marshall into her life huh?


I know that I am a little late on the post, but I have to add that Marshall made sure that Vi left and made it home safely, but I was just left. One minute I saw everyone having a good time and the next minute, I saw no one. Here I was left at the club, with no money and no I.D. either. But luckily, this nice guy got me a cab, rode in the cab with me, and paid for the cab.

The next morning-Tuesday- Orbra came down for breakfast at the bird with me and brought Angie. Our Angie extended just ONE MORE DAY (yall know how that is right), and decided to stay in Negril with Dr. O so as to be near the airport.

So they come down for breakfast with me at the bird.

First let me back up and tell you about my night. I am a confimred airconditioner girl, and one thing that scared the daylights out of me was no air at the Bird. Not to mention, I am having these hot flashes. People let me tell you, they have got some serious ceiling fans at the bird. I was looking around the room for something else I could put over me other than my blanket. I was about to freeze. I don't know how it is in the summer, but I was more than comfortable let me tell you.

I also need to add I LOVE MY SHOWER, did NOT want to come out of it. Lord I want one of those in my home. It is all open and the water in hanging from the ceiling, so you can pretend it is rian, and it comes out REAL STRONG, no weak pressure. I could have stayed in it all day.

Back to breakfast....and here comes Angie's hair.

Laurel was so excited to meet Angie and Orbra, but these are her last few moments here this trip as she and son are about to leave. I must say that she did it with a lot more grace and poise than I ever could have under the circumstances. I know she had a great time though, and she WILL BE BOK MON.

All too soon Angie's ride comes for her as well, and it is time for her to leave me again. Dr. O is NOT good with goodbyes so she is not handling this well at all.

Fatti Boom Boom and the roller coaster came by for a while and we hung out in the room. We had a blackout and had to light candles, How romantic.

After Angie leaves I forget what we did. I think we just sat and talked. I believe we went to Three Dives. They had just finished the jerk fest there and Lloydie and Paula were just flat exhausted. Worn out!!!!! Still it was excellent as always and I can't say enough about a Three Dives meal.

Wednesday brings yet another goodbye for me...Orbra is leaving. I go down to Kuyaba to say good bye. She has a lovely room, and a friend of a friend is taking her to the airport. She met some St. Louis folks at the bird, and ironically they are all on the same plane. I loved her room at Kuyaba, but she liked mine at the Bird.

I think we went down to Cosmos to eat, and had some of that to die for fry chicken, and then later had our last little time together before she left.


The end of this day I call my new angel, Gwen. We agree that we are going out to Roots tonight. Got to keep rolling.

I think this is the evening that I wandered over to Miss Sonia's for patties and ended up meeting some people from the Negril board. What nice folks, and they love Miss Sonia and treat her so well. They had brought her chilli pepper lights to hang all around the restaurant for Xmas. Gwen LOVED Miss Sonia, but she flipped over Mr. Sonia, Now that is a hunk of a man.

Miss Sonia talked with us for a while, and then fed her customers, and her Red Stripes are real cold and real cheap. I had a BALL there that evening.









Gwen is the lady I met that first moment on the beach this trip who was with the board member. Within two hours, you would have thought we had know each other for life. We had dinner at Tamboo and then we went out to Roots.

I hung with this scene just about as long as I could, but there were too many working girls and working guys there for me that night, and the scene was altogether pitiful. I think Gwen stayed a while longer and went home later, but I called it a night and went back to my safe little bungalow at the Bird.

Thursday morning in Negril, now MY days are winding down.


Up and down the street I go from the Bird to Kuyaba where Gwen is staying. We spend time together, and talk and eat and drink and try to be merry. She has something burdening her, and I do as well, and we try to give each other sisterly love and comfort through a trying time.

I don't literally know what I would have done without her. She salvaged the tattered pieces of the Negril end of my journey. We spent Thursday during the day piddling,doing much of nothing.

I am on my way back to Kuyaba for Gwen and I am just passing Jah B's. A man runs out and flags me down and yells for me to come over and have a drink. Oh what the heck. I go over there and it is he, a guy in a gold lame' turban, and two young ladies of questionable occupation.

NEVER, EVER, have I had such a warm greeting by Jamaican women. They were 17 and 18 respectively and were just precious. I sat and talked with them for a while, and then told them I had to get on to three dives. They snatched my cell phone and put their numbers in and then put mine in their's and said they would meet me at the Jungle later. Ok this ought to be an adventure.

Gwen wants to go to Three Dives, she has never been. Let me see.....do I think I can stand one more lobster dinner? A friend of her's joins us and we are all three sitting out by the Bonfire. Her friend is a professional entertainer, and acapella he sings anything I want in this wonderful voice. So here were are out by the stars being serenaded by a beautiful dreaded brother with a sweet little Jamaican accent, and a lobster dinner later.

Lloydie and Paula are still dog tired and have not had much rest since that jerk fest two days ago. I feel so sorry for them because they work SO hard.

Gwen is impressed with her meal and we leave there to rest before the JUNGLE.
