sugar, you must also try the coconut rum with grapefruit juice, the sweet an sour balance each other out nicely

Board Party-3 Dives
So between getting ready and more glasses of coconut rum, we were running a little behind. After we all get dressed, we walk out to the front of the hotel and catch a cab. I negotiate the price-no problems and we are off. Our driver’s name was Tarzan. I’m kinda upset that we were late because I want to match the mental picture in my mind of all these different hotels with the real thing. Also we were going to miss the sun going down. Oh well-I really enjoyed that rum. Before I can blink we are at 3 Dives. I try to get out the car like a lady. Being 5’8-5’9 and with a short skirt on it can be a challenge (boy could I tell you some stories). I manage. We pay the driver and give him a tip and off we go. As soon as I enter the area where the tables a located a guy jumps up and says-Are you Sugar? Yep that’s me-and I’m quickly introduced to Reby, his brother Steve, Jamaica Miss, Ted, and Thunderbird. There were two more boardies there that were sitting at the table behind us who left early(someone who was there help me I’m blocking their names). I introduced Stacy and Tonya and we all sat down. Ok so we talked about a number of things-our envy (ESPECIALLY MINE) over Jamaica Miss’s move to JA, Steve and Reby’s trip to YS Falls, how Fattie’s is Ted’s favorite restaurant, meeting Thunderbird at the airport for the first time, how we missed a great sunset, and of course the Board. So what I will give is overall impressions. Reby is a nut (and I mean that in the nicest sense of the word). Me and him have been battling back and forth for a couple of weeks before this trip. I couldn’t wait to meet him (Well as I told him I didn’t know if he was a guy or a girl and he quickly pointed out-my name is Rebycman-DUH!!) Who was this smart butt? Well a nice guy with a quick sense of humor. Steve-poor, poor, Steve. You have all my sympathies dear man-To grow up with Reby as a brother. Just kidding. Steve was also nice and told us about their time in Mobay. Gosh is my impression of everybody going to be that they were nice? Well everybody was. I’m gonna have to hang out with Thunderbird to learn more about computers and cameras. Ted is Jamaica Miss’ man. He has a very quiet spirit around him. I wondered if it was his way or was it because he was around so many new people. Jamaica Miss is a treasure trove of info and I give her big KUDOS for driving in JA. So between all the talking there was some eating and drinking. When we checked out the menu I saw that lobster was listed on the board. I figured that it needed to be removed, but the waitress said that they do have lobster. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-I didn’t bring that kinda cash with me. Oh well, right then and there I ask can we come back to eat here after we go to Jackie’s. The ladies say sure. I ordered the jerk chicken. It was heavenly. So well seasoned and it gave me that good burn on the corners of my mouth. Now that extra jerk sauce that they give you in that little side dish-Let me tell you. I am not the one to be trying that one out again. Hot does not do that sauce justice. My hats off to all who can eat that stuff. Too soon it is time to pack it in. We discuss getting a cab back down to the hotel. Reby hears us and said that he will ask his driver if he can drop us off. We are waiting around for the waitress to come back and for Reby and Steve to get their food to go. After we pay and the guys pick up their food we say goodbye to Jamaica Miss, Ted and Thunderbird and jump in the van. The trip back was quick. We wish Reby and Steve safe journey and head back into the hotel. Because we have to go to Mayfield in the morning we decided to call it an early night.

Shuga, just a great trip report and I was so pleased to meet all the Boardies and your two friends. It was a wonderful night.

Info on Ted: he is a quiet gentle Rasta, usually doesn't talk much. He did tell me he really enjoyed his night at Three Dives, and liked all the people there. Not only am I blessed to live in Jamaica, but I am blessed to have been introduced to Ted, my expert gardner, my companion, my dear heart, my dear friend. Also it's nice that he doesn't talk much because I ramble on and on. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've de-lurked just to let you know I am enjoying your trip report. You have a wonderful way with words (I feel like I'm there) and the pics are great!
