Lawd hav mercy....a man with his mind made up. How they can switch from the face on the man walking down the road pulling that suitcase, to the face on the man laying in that bed watching tv in less than an hour is priceless.

The next morning we wake up and the room is FREEZING! Having been so deprived of air conditioning for so long [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img], we set the darn thing to as cold as it would go and them fell asleep. When I say the room was freezing, I mean I could barely pull the covers off of myself. The thought of stepping onto the cold tile, was enough to keep me in bed all morning. Then I got a grip and remembered that I was in Jamaica. Time to wake-up! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img]

Now I know everyone experience Jamaica differently. In the past when I would go to JA, I would be out all night and pretty much drunk the entire time. I remember one trip to JA I was so drunk the whole time that I hadn’t even realized that I broke my ankle until I got home and got sober. I literally fell out of a hammock one night, broke my ankle, and didn’t realize it until 2 days later when I was home and sober. Lately, however, Jamaica is a different experience for me. I am usually up by 6 a.m. and on the beach by 6:30. I am also usually in bed by 10 p.m., rarely am I out later than that. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img] It is scary. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img] I am normally up so early that the front desk doesn’t have towels to take on the beach. I usually end up waiting for them to be delivered.

This morning was no different. I am up at 6 a.m. and despite the freezing cold room, I throw myself from the bed and run to the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom I grab the a/c controller and turn the darn thing off. Red is still asleep so it isn’t going to bother him. I will turn it back on before I head to the beach. After washing my face and brushing my teeth I load on the sun block and wake Red up. He pries himself from the bed and gets ready for the beach with me as well.

I head to the beach without Red, not willing to wait for a second longer than I had to. On the way to the beach I snap some pictures of the flowers located on the property.

A few minutes later Red meets me on the beach and tells me he has ordered breakfast for us and is having it sent to the beach. Isn’t he wonderful? It is a cloudy day, hardly any sunshine all day. I would have liked it to be sunny but sometimes cloudy turns out alright. I literally spend all day on the beach, from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. So the cloudiness keeps it cool and allows me to get the sun tan I want, without feeling my skin cooking. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

For some reason, Red took a zillion pictures of me pulling my bathing suit out of my butt. I swear everytime I stood up he was there, waiting with the camera, to get a shot of it.

It's Jamaica!! With a Rum and Coke in hand, it is time to let your hair down and RELAX!!

Around noon Red moves into the shade and I am left alone on the beach. It is amazing to me, the gigolos on the beach and the way they work. They walk by allllllll day, see me with Red allllllll day, but as soon as he moves away from me, it is as if he never existed. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img] I guess it is the same for most women on the beach. I think I have developed a good way of dealing with it though.

“My husband is from Mandeville.”

Around 5 p.m. I head inside to the room where Red is fast asleep. We shower up and head back out to the beach to catch the sunset. The sunset was so pretty, just a little bit of sun sneaking through the clouds.

Besides if you were gonna turn lebanese are you sure the weggie picture isn't the one you want to do it. I love the little beach bar at For Real. It's right on the waters edge. Spent way too much time there during one of my visits to Negril. Always found my way back to my bed at night though. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Sounds similar to my answer...when they ask me my name I reply "Mark's wife"...someteimse that is not enough of a deterrent and they ask "ah who Mark?"...once they get an eyeful of him many of them RUN, not walk down the beach. tee hee hee!
