The family packs up and they go in for the night.
Imanni and I go to the bar at Bar-B-Barn and I ask them if they can cash my travelers check if I eat dinner.

I order steak and garlic mashed potatoes. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hungry.gif[/img]

The ladies behind the bar are smitten with Imanni right away. He orders a Sprite, and I tell them thats probably not such a good idea. He gets some juice instead, and we wait for dinner.

I keep glancing over my shoulder, but I don't see him...

The food was good, and when we are done we head to the road to get a taxi and go back to the condo.

The cab driver sees Imanni and makes a U turn, "you need a cab?" "I only have 100J" I say. "No problem Momma get in, where you goin??" "Mariners Condos." "Ok, get it..." [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]


He tells me he has a boy the same age as Imanni, and I see the proud parent smile [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

Imanni gets in the car and his smile is un-stopable..
The boy sure loves cars [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70377-loveeyes.gif[/img]

The cab pulls up to NBCC and we get out and head for our room...

Ras calls and wants to come over...

Why not, I think to myself. Swedish is out for the evening, and Imanni will soon be in bed.
I am far from sleepy, and could use the company, and the distraction from my thoughts...

Imanni and I go to the gate and meet him, and escort him back to the room.
I hate the looks I get from the lady at the gate, but I guess they assume the worst... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]

We get to the room, and Imanni watches a little TV while we sit on the veranda and smoke. Soon it is Imanni's bedtime, and I go brush his teeth and put on his pajamas.

Later Ras and I watch my Reggae on the River DVD, and chill. He tries to put the moves on, and I let go a kiss, but stop him short.
Sorry Ras my heart's just not in it. My boy is in the next room, and I am not here for that...

He says he can respect that, and asks what I have planned for tomorrow. I tell him I plan to get out to the beach early, we only have 2 full days left [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] I tell him there is a guy I owe money too, and I have to go to the Cambio and change these dyam travelers checks. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img]

He says he will take me, and to call him when I am ready to go.

We say our good byes, and I head to bed....

I dream of the man down the beach, and toss and turn all night long [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img]

You have the company of a nice Rasta who has been nothing but kind and helpful to you, and you turn him away like im nothing [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70361-embarassed.gif[/img]
Like you don't need some love [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] Like you cyaan feel the way the humid air gives passion a playground, and makes it so easy to surrender...

Because you deserve more, that is why...

You remember the pregnancy, and the tenderness, and even tho the boy growing in your belly was not his, he offered to help you so you would not have to go it alone... No matter his reasons for making that offer, you remember, and you can't help but wonder "what if"

The conversation in my head continues while the beach is coming to life...

She wants to come down to my pad today and hang out for a while!!

I have 1 $500J still tucked away for the fruit man, and I put it in my camera case.

Imanni is determined to dress himself lately, and most times he needs help, today he did it all by himself. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]

Jagypsy shows up, and we chat for a while. We float in the waves, and Imanni plays on the shore.

I tell jagypsy that I want to go up to the Cambio today and change my travelers checks. I ask if she will sit with Imanni @ my place while I run to town real quick. "Sure" she says. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img] She needs money too, and asks me to visit the ATM for her. Not a Problem [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]

We play for a while longer, and it is time to head back to the room. I get Imanni in some dry clothes, and take a quick shower and dress myself. I meet jagypsy on the veranda, and we smoke and talk a while. I call Ras and he says he can be there in a 1/2 hour to get me [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img]

Swedish calls, and she is on her way too. She needs money from the ATM as well, and I agree to get her some if they stay with Imanni. I say a little prayer of thanks that the Ras is taking me, since I will be coming back with quite a bit of cash for the 3 of us [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img]


First stop the Cambio. The line is not long, but it is NOT moving [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img] I wait and wait and wait... The guy behind me is super impatient, and he keeps looking through the pressboard booth they have put up since my last trip here a few days ago. He is cursing, and sighing, and pacing [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] I just smile and wait patiently...

Finally after about 30 minutes (I kid you not) the lady behind the counter says the system is down [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img] and it should be about 15-20 minutes before they get it back up.


I head to the ATM for the other 2 ladies, and I wonder if I am ever going to be rid of these dang travelers checks [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] There is a separate pocket in my wallet for each of their ATM cards with the pin #'s I get their requested cash, and rip up the paper with the pins. Put the cash back into the separate pockets, close my wallet, and step out of the ATM booth.


Ras is waiting outside for me, and I ask if there is another cambio we can got to. Ras says we can go to the bank.

Back in the car and down the street he lets me out. There are people everywhere [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img] I wade through the crowd and into the Scotia Bank. I am greeted with more lines [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] I sigh and take my place in the queue...

15 minutes later I have a bunch of JA$ and no more travelers checks [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

He stops at Juicy’s and I give him money for 4 pattys [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img] I wait in the car and watch the people of Negril...

He comes back and we head back to the hotel. Ras drops me off with a promise to call me later. Thanks so much for the ride, here is a little something for all you've done to help me [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]


He thanks me, and I watch him drive off...

Back at the room Swedish and Jagypsy are taking naps [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

They get up, and I share the pattys with them, yum, it is good and just hits the spot. Imanni is in the bedroom watching a DVD, and Swedish and I go to the veranda...

Next thing I know I hear a crash in the living room, and glass shattering [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img]

I jump up and the glass from the wicker table top has fallen and shattered [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img] jagypsy is by the phone and I tell her to call the front desk...

The first thing out of the lady's mouth is payment, and I see jagypsy get a look like um hello there is glass everywhere can we get it cleaned up before we talk price [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Within 2 minutes Dwight is there with the lady from the front desk and another gentleman I don't know. The glass is removed, and the lady says I can call Jean and discuss the price of replacing the table. Jagypsy feels bad, she offers to pay the cost but she does not want to be over charged either [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70388-shameonyou.gif[/img]

I tell her I completely understand, and try to ease her guilt over the table... accidents happen girl please don't worry yourself... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img]

The mood is gone, and soon the two of them are leaving.... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img]

I promise to call jagypsy and tell her what Jean says.

I walk them to the door, and thank them for letting me get out for a minute with out the 3 yr old [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]

We say our good byes and agree to meet up later...
