I have Fab 5 live part 1 and it is a great cd, one of my favorite, but I do not have part two so I will get it.

Who were the group's inspiration as far as other Jamaican artists? And what secret can you tell me about Fab 5 that is not readily known?

i can really relate to this comment because one of the things i really liked about Fab 5 was the quality of your lyrics, whether its a party song or a satirical song...live band may be coming back, but is it coming back with quality lyrics? (not necessarily talking about Fab5, but I would love to hear your opinion on that...

Big up to the Wolmers possee Portmore. Fab 5 spends about 18 weekends touring each year. But we intentionally do not spend long periods out of jamaica so we come home and then travel again. As a result it does not affect our families significantly.

my favourite fab5 cd is christmas in the sun. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Partly because I love christmas music, and also because I think it is the best studio work we had done up to that time. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] it is not always easy to outline a favourite song, especially, since we have so many recordings, but I think asking for love is one of my favourite fab5 songs. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Regarding offspring. Frankie's son Andrew is a founding member of Jamaica's premier Heavy Metal/Reggae band "Downstairs" and like his father he plays bass. Regarding influences on the original groups, the main ones were: Skatellites; (for Grub as a singer - Delroy Wilson).

Live Jamaican bands hardly record, but internationally the lyrical standard has fallen, even though there are execptions. Jamaica only has 4-5 live road bands: Fab 5, Byron Lee, The Unique Vision (our brother band); The Bare Essentials and two show bands: Third World and Morgan's Heritage.

I love Christmas songs too so I will definetely ask for it come CHRISTMAS. I know that it was a difficult question BUT I was trying to findout if there is that one song that is like an anthem to your group.

Asking For Love is the most played ballad every rocoeded by a Jamaican group (or singer) in Jamaica. But we dont really have an anthem. The band knows and plays hundreds of songs and in fact we have on many occasions invited requests from our audience and met every one.
