This is very true, but I think the people complaining about the principle of the thing, since it appears they were the feather in the hat for the french firm to make a kings ransom on the highway project and the Govt was not upfront with this.

one can understand a boycott on the principle on the issue but isnt it a tad late considering the toll has been up for a while now? why not when the tolls were 1st started?

Kia the toll collection did not start until Sunday there was a side road that people used before construction ended and some got caught Sunday thinking the road still free, you cannot analogize taking the GW or lincoln Tunnel or Holland to the the portmore toll, you can drive from Manhatten to Upper westchester county and noh have fi pay toll is only beggy beggy New Jersey them charge yu toll fi every flippin exit pon the turn pike. Portmore people salt cause dem stuck in a Portmore due to lots of Govt offices, schools and work is outside of portmore. Mi did see one nice Courts and KFC when pass through in a 2004 but mi no reach dem parts a yard in a while.

No worries, all dem have now is the four lane lane road infront a ferry that lead into Duhaney Park and three miles, the road with the cane field dem pon either side. Nelson Mandela Highway dem call it since wha day. Afta dat you eida fight pon washigton Boulevard or go three miles way and fight fi cut up a half way tree, both side horrible.

imagine ppl who have to travel to and from kingston atleast twice a day. imagine ppl with salaries 20 grand a month paying. imagine how much they are paying a year...

Most a di toll come aftah di road. And like me post before, if yuh wan drive from NJ to NY, yuh haffi pay one HEFTY toll. There are no other options..well unless yuh wan drive maybe 400 miles out yuh way.
