Death at any time is hard but when it is unexpected, the distress is worse.
Sweetssop was the sole breadwinner for her family and with her gone, her family needs our help to cover funeral expenses

Kia: I will do what I can about donating. This is an especially difficult week; Mr Witchy did not receive his paycheck today and no one knows why. HR can't seem to care. Payroll can't seem to figure out where their baxide is with both hands. Mr Witchy's supervisors, having gotten THEIR paychecks, don't really give a rat's tail end. And this is the third time in five months that this has occurred. It happened near his birthday (Thanksgiving weekend), and we finally pulled the plug and notified the proper authorities down in Trenton - who got his paycheck cut in 72 hours... despite the company claiming that it would take 'em another entire week to cut it. bitter lol His contract is past ended; it ended December 31st. He was asked to please continue working while the details of his new contract were ironed out. I told Mr Witchy to finish out the day, do not stay one flipping minute longer than his usual time, and come on home - with everything he owns from his cubicle. And not to go in to work on Monday. He is going to the Unemployment Office on Monday to file for unemployment. After all, he is unemployed - no contract, and now he isn't even getting paid! He can also file there for the time he has worked and now NOT been paid. And when he gets back home, we will once again notify them down in Trenton. This will be fascinating; Quest is gonna be hit with some MASSIVE fines by the State of NJ now... And, since they are already under Federal guidance (ie - being watched very carefully by the Feds for having effed up a few years back, and this is Court mandated Fed overseeing), Mr Witchy will, thirdly, after the Unemployment Office visit and calling the State Labor Relations Office, place another phone call to the 800 federal phone number for just such occasions regarding this company, and lodge his complaint with the Feds. It should be close to time to start cooking supper, by that point... Mr Witchy's gonna be a very busy man on Monday. meanwhile, Ima hafta figure out how I'm gonna pay our bills without money, feed us with no money and little food, and pay for our needs..... yet again. I hope I get some sales in my Etsy Vintage shop in the next couple of days! PLEASE, God, send a few buying customers with money my way, PLEASE!!! At least Mr Witchy will now have the time to sit down and paint those champagne flutes, glass mugs, Pyrex ware, and antique glass plates that I want him to paint... and paint and calligraph those note cards and other items that I want him to do, so I can open the other Etsy shop, finally... the custom medieval and renaissance illumination and calligraphy shop. I know I can sell such items for a lot of money! Kia, as soon as I make a sale or two on Etsy, the money will go to SweetsSop's family. I can wait things out; they need help! It will happen. It's a matter of a day or two, that's all.

Yes thanks to Facebook (and Kia) I was unfortunately aware of what happened within that same day... I can;t begin to express what I am feeling...
Sweets was always one of the first persons to make a comment when I post my status updates... always ready to take me down a peg or two if mi start tek miself too serious and always ready to request a bogle dance... (what a woman love a good time man)

I appreciated her here on Ja.com but I have to say I really got to know her through Facebook...
No matter what she was going through she was always just a bright spirit on my page, and she was quick to inbox me when things seem too serious for the front page... thats where we had our best conversations... and going through those messages just have me aching inside.

Just that morning her status update had me laughing because she posted "Lawd mi hungry - I don;t eat since last year" - that was just classic Sweetsop.

It is just surreal to me and I keep expecting her to pop up and say it was some sick, twisted joke... but I would be so happy to see her that I wouldn't care
I just haven't had the words to say what I feel.

It's so wonderful to see some of the old faces around here... Sweets would have been so thrilled to see everyone... she would be up in here mekking trouble and antagonizing who she could... lol

I know God will have another sweet spirit in his entourage...
