I have no problems with siding with what I think is right or wrong. I posted in General Wyclef was appearing on Oprah's show speaking about Haiti. Tanya moved it in the bashment &amp; entertainment forum. Wyclef

How do you know it was her because I got a pm stating it was her and she had moved my post. But low and behold Tanya posted about Haiti in General asking what did the boardites think?

At any rate I took the issue to Xavier after hinting in

a feww of his postings that he was not following his own rules . I maintained then as I still feel that some approach the ability to transfer posts with glee bordering on frothing at the mouth if certain posters' monikers r affixed .. I believe I have sent him enuff examples to prove a case via the proponderous of evdence rule of law

see u have to choose u method at hand wen u no ha di threat n ban powas

whether he maintains silence for awhile to give thar appearance of real thought to the complaints but comes back with no personnel changes , well , is not the first tim

given the few he has to select from n the collusion of who choose n who have been chosen, he really faces a collundrum

and this isnt about taking things too seriously. A question was asked why not anwser? None of this is that deep for me, just discussing what Xman has posted is all.

He said he was willing to hear feedback so here it is. It is a bit unfair to then say comments that are not in agreement are taking things too seriously.

I can just go back to not saying anything cause, actually it isnt that serious for me. Just something to discuss since many spend time on here. :shrug:

The problem is that &quot;shock doctrine&quot; require that there is assets to be had.
In Haiti's case they had instituted shock doctrine decades ago and have brought the country down to slavery.

So the objective of the doctrine is already achieved.
So although the opportunity is ripe the attractiveness is not there.
In other words the return is not worth the eff0rt.

What the will do is to allow Haitians to improve the situating to the point where it is attractive and then they will create an opportunity to institute it.

Stranded - US denied Jamaican nurse passage from Haiti

A Jamaican nurse practitioner was yesturday denied passage to the United States when she attempted to leave Haiti.

Melissa Marballie, who has been the holder of a US green card since 2005, was turned back by US immigration when she attempted to return to the States where she has lived since 2000.

She had been in Haiti since last Sunday, arriving with a group of medical volunteers in the aftermath of the disaster.

&quot;I was trying to go back to the States with the group but the United States won't allow me. They say that they have so many American citizens to evacuate and they don't have space for me,&quot; Marballie told The Sunday Gleaner.

She said that Haitians with US green cards were also turned back.

Over 110,000 persons have been confirmed to have died as a result of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake.

The United States and Jamaica were among the nations to respond to the crisis there. The US has since taken control of Haiti's air and sea ports. Non-US citizens have been having difficulties accessing the facilities.

Forced out on the streets by US policy, Marballie found her way to the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) base where she was allowed to stay. She will journey from the base to Jamaica en route to the US. Although happy to use the opportunity to say hello to relatives in Jamaica, she is not amused.

&quot;The way I feel about the United States' actions cannot be put into words,&quot; Marballie said.

She added: &quot;They would have let me stay on the streets. I have always known that being a green-card holder means that you are a third-class citizen, but it is today that I found out!&quot;

Meanwhile, the nurse practitioner said it was the scale of the disaster that forced her to come to the aid of Haitians.

&quot;Haiti is right next door to Jamaica. It could have happened to anyone. It could have happened to us,&quot; Marballie said.

She told The Sunday Gleaner that the experience was something that she would never forget.

&quot;I saw grief, I saw desperation, I saw despair, I saw death ... . It just won't leave my mind,&quot; Marballie said.

Efforts to speak with US authorities in Haiti proved futile.

Green card holders supposedly hold the same rights as citizens.

No, they don't.

Greencard holders have most of the rights, but NOT all of the rights of a USA citizen.

A foreig owned corporation have more rights than a green card holder.
since they can select and promote the electoral candidate of their choice legally.
Although the foreign owners of that corporations are not citizens.
Now if that is not the most illogical interpretation of the laws, i don't know what.
As for the green card holder, they country have no responsibillity to them when they are not within the country. which I think is logical.
Unless they own corporations,that have the power to change all that, by electing candidates favourable to that view.

this is not new, citizens always at the top of the list

when I was travelling with a green card, I made sure that I had all of the locations/#s of the Jamaican consulates in the country I was visiting, cause I knew that there was a chance I wouldn't get what I needed from the US embassy. The JA consulates were my first choice if I had any issues. I suggest JA greencard holders do the same.


I hope she made her way to the DR fi ketch a flight, and not still stuck in Haiti a wait pan Uncle Sam fi rescue har

If he knew the rules right off the bat why didn't he post it in the Haiti forum in the first place? Of course it is there now but it was posted originally in General, why do you think Vannie pointed it out clearly?
