The only benefit of the monarchy to Jamaica is that when the Queen visits, the NWA patches up the roads on which the Queen is scheduled to travel.

However, since on average the Queen comes only
once every 7 years, and she don't travel much, this only amount to a minute amount of potholes filled in.

Liam, is this your idea of a joke ? Have you taken any time whatsoever to study the history of the Caribbean in general and Jamaica in particular ? Do you know anything about the history of African nations ? Liam have you <span style="font-weight: bold">any</span> idea what your monarchy has been up to in the world for the last thousand years ?

I just finish watching the movie &quot; The Constance Gardner.&quot; It based on the British Corp. and African as the disposal guinea pig. and yes the queen did rage war in argentina... she was protecting her people... if argentina was invading jamaica she would make the full force of the commonwealth come to help you..... without the queen you wouldnt have that help.... that war only hapend because the queens soil was attacked so we got it back.

The Queen is just a figurehead in the Commonwealth countries. I predict that after she passes and Charles becomes King, many countries will hold referendums to abolish ties to the monarchy. Australia for example has strong anti-monarchy sentiment, and has agreed to wait until Elizabeth is gone to pursue the matter out of respect.

i am perfectaly aware, i am aware bad things happend. i am also aware it has nothing to do with the royal family. blaim the socienty of the time. and thre goverment. not the queen. she wassent queen when that was going on. she was one who put a end to some of it. she is against slavery, and as a way to say sorry she has hundreds of charitys helping in any way they can
