u became inderpendant from the uk not the monarchy, it does not matter where im from, all it matters is im one of the queens subjects and you all are too, im simply trying to get my point across, the point which isnt related to empire, comlonisation or slavery. as these are no longer about. you said "'monarchy' vs. 'democracy'" monarchy is a form of democracy. it is the most democratic form of goverment, republics are all good in most cases, but what stops the leader turning to a dictator? nothing! what stops a prime minister turning into a dictator? the queen

who is the leader of thousands of charitys? the royal family
what does it cost you? nothing what would a republic cost you? millions because it would involve changing every thing including ur culture.

why want to fix somthing that isnt broken?
the monarchy is brillient and free. republics are not as effetive and are really expencive.

I think if Liam had introduced himself first, and made himself known, he would have gotten further with spreading his ideals, not that it would make much of a difference on a mainly American crowd.

There are some Jamaicans who would be in agreement with monarchism, that's probably one reason why Jamaica is still part of the <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-family: 'Book Antiqua'">realm</span></span>. Also, a lot of Jamaicans are British pensioners, or have close relatives in Britain, who send them money, etc.

Good luck on your endeavours chum, although I may not agree with everything British, or of the monarchy...cheers!!!</span>

Is Liam aware that people of African ancestory could not be employed in the Jamaican civil service, during colonial days?
