the young ladies we were out with that night came to the States .. all sisters (3)

lost touch with Bagga & Vernel ..
but one Friday night driving down Lake Shore DR / Sheridan Rd here in Chicago, i stopped for a beer at this bar.
Just to slow down for a min and see if I could figure out where this place i was looking for was.

There was one person inside apart from the Bar tender ...a young lady sitting at the far end of the bar .. she was sitting on a stool with her back to me .. but I was admiring the small waist and curvy hips .. i finished my beer and was about to leave, when I decided to walk over and start a conservation .. if she did not fell mi .. i was out the door anyway ..
walked over said "Hi"
she turned around ..

To walk the streets of Kingston, one I wouild think has a motive. Once you ahve that motive you can walk any street. If you`re going to walk like a wandering lunatic with no particular destination whether it be a place of interest or a person(s) to visit, than you`re begging for trouble anywhere you go even up in the guarded communities of the rich and affluent such as Norbrook which have Neighbourhood watch systems in place and ready to activate to supicious movemnents as well as to actual robberies and crime in general.

Murder toll rises in St. James

The blood-letting is continuing in St. James despite several anti-crime measures implemented by the police.

Three persons were killed in the parish in the past 24 hours with three others hospitalised with gunshot wounds.

The killings have been centred around the volatile community of Salt Spring and its environs.

The most recent killings occurred within minutes of each other Monday afternoon.

In the first incident 19-year-old chef, Andre Turner of a Corporate Area address, was at a house in Bottom Pen, Glendevon, when gunmen opened fire hitting him several times. He died on the spot.

Minutes later a group of men attacked 48-year-old painter and vendor Owen Miller otherwise called "Abba" of Glendevon, as he walked along the Sunvalley road in that community.

He was shot twice in the face and pronounced dead at hospital.

Monday's killings came 15 hours after gunmen went on a shooting spree in Salt Spring leaving one man dead, three others hospitalized and two cars destroyed.

The dead man has been identified as 34-year-old shopkeeper Robert Green also known as “Monsta Ras”, a father of four of McGhee Top in Salt Spring.

Reports are that about nine Monday night a taxi operator was traveling along the McGhee top main road when he was ambushed and shot by a group of armed men.

They threw the taxi operator from the vehicle and drove it away.

The criminals travelled along the road where they fired several shots hitting Mr. Green and two other men.

The gunmen then set the vehicle alight.

They also set fire to another taxi which was parked along the roadway.

The injured men were taken to hospital where Mr. Green was pronounced dead and the others admitted.

The incidents bring to 114 the number of murders in the St. James since the start of the year.

The largest single deployment of police personnel is now headed for the murder hotspots in St. James even as Police Commissioner Lucius Thomas offers assurances to residents that his men are gaining the upper hand against criminals in the parish.

The commissioner acknowledged that the task of policing St. James with its high poverty, proliferation of drugs and all too eager young men willing to take up the gun, is incredibly difficult.

But he says he is pulling out all the stops to bring crime under control.

He says Head of CIB, Assistant Commission Denver Frater, is on his way to take over the strategic planning on the ground in St James.

Commissioner Thomas says aside from the notorious Stone Crusher Gang, some criminal elements have returned to the island over the past few months and are ramping up the murder and mayhem in the second city.

But he says he is ready to throw his best resources behind the effort to crush crime in the resort town.

Fresh from his three day stint in the beleaguered parish, DCP Mark Sheilds was bitter about the recent flare up in crime and pointed to the need to free the flow of intelligence especially in the communities of Salt Spring and Norwood.

He blamed his some of colleagues for failing to gain the confidence of the communities.

In the meantime, the Police Commissioner says he will shortly announce a replacement for ACP "Trinity" Gardener, who until recently headed the police operations in western Jamaica.
