Mi lay low innah di people dem bush edges that run alongside the wall fence. As di guys dem pass mi hear dem sey, unnuh never si di bwoy whey did a walk towards wi? A whey him tun? Him lucky nuh ra$$ becaw a wouldah leggo two shot innah him blouse cup. Look like him live innah one dem yawd yah and him reach him yawd gate and gone in before we buck innah him. As dem gone my just creep out, dust off mi clothes and gwuan walk up little further, den mi just decide fi bunks-it at a bredren yawd furhter up the same road till daylight; den mi go home. This took place off Redhills road - connecting to Merrick High Way.

The largest single deployment of police personnel is now headed for the murder hotspots in St. James even as Police Commissioner Lucius Thomas offers assurances to residents that his men are gaining the upper hand against criminals in the parish.

The commissioner acknowledged that the task of policing St. James with its high poverty, proliferation of drugs and all too eager young men willing to take up the gun, is incredibly difficult.

But he says he is pulling out all the stops to bring crime under control.

He says Head of CIB, Assistant Commission Denver Frater, is on his way to take over the strategic planning on the ground in St James.

Commissioner Thomas says aside from the notorious Stone Crusher Gang, some criminal elements have returned to the island over the past few months and are ramping up the murder and mayhem in the second city.

But he says he is ready to throw his best resources behind the effort to crush crime in the resort town.

Fresh from his three day stint in the beleaguered parish, DCP Mark Sheilds was bitter about the recent flare up in crime and pointed to the need to free the flow of intelligence especially in the communities of Salt Spring and Norwood.

He blamed his some of colleagues for failing to gain the confidence of the communities.

In the meantime, the Police Commissioner says he will shortly announce a replacement for ACP "Trinity" Gardener, who until recently headed the police operations in western Jamaica.

Shoppers Fair is the name you Red Hills/ C`Bar youtes are trying to remember. It was sold to Telephone Co. long b4 Cable and wireless took over. The place is now vacant almost a derelict bulding and a huge amopunt of land out of use like Ground Zero.
Further along the Boulevard where Cia y Cia the cigar factory at the entrance to Pemproke Hall, that too is history. However instead of ruins like up at Shoppers Fair, the place is a modern day shopping center with fast foods, super market and small stores and is bery popular and looks far from being run down. KFC, Burger King to name a few fast foods are all located there.
I am convinced that any mall or shopping pl;aza for it to survive and make money, must have Fast Foods, ice cream, chicken, quick meals-Chinese or Jamaican.
Lee`s Food Fair on Red Hill`s Rd is alive and well, renovated and thriving.
Dont know why Shoppperes Fair sunk at that location. I think it was just too huge in size with no variety. and no restaurants.

Hamlon is a chinese girl, model - lived up christopher blvd
Moy is a chinese girl lived on merrick high way - went to meadowbrook high school
Tyson - "syrian" girls lived between pembrook hall and bottom of sunrise crescent. J Tyson was a model and the younger sister a sistren a mine.

As for the rest of the names well, dem did know everybody and evrybody innah the area knew them.
