not that I can offer any technical merits of one over the other, but my choice would be the AUDI hands down!

AWD all road wagon? that would be the tipping point for me.

Thanks Nylah! Yes I have plowed snow with my Dodge Intrepid many times the front spoiler is like a plow! I am leaning towards the Audi too.One of my dogsit houses lets me drive their Audi when I stay there. I called and they bought that one for the same price and he said it was the best money he ever spent.

Dyam Chrysler is like brand spanking new though. And so very plush.

I do love the heated seats on the Audi. It feels really good even in summer with the air conditioning on!

Both have sunroofs.

I can see the struggle between an newer car for sure!

but with the features you have mentioned and how well the Audi has been maintained, I think it appears to be a great deal.

I have "bum warmers" in my car too and it was a luxury that I never thought I could live without until I had them When it is cold and the car hasnt warmed up yet, those seat warmers are a Godsend

with all the dang snow you get in your neck of the woods that suspension shifter feature sounds like a needed feature. My friend has a Serbring as well but I dont think it would handle the snow like the Audi.

It sure is the decision Nylah! My Intrepid, god I love my Intrepid. I bought it brand new and it has 197,000 un maintained miles on it. It has given me so few problems it is almost unbelievable. But...I did this one other time. I had a wonderful little Mitzibushi that I rolled and totaled out so I bought another like it. The second one was a lemon!

Man, I love the BOSE stereo CD player in the Audi. It also has passenger climate control! I took it for a spin. 0 to 60 in a couple of secs, just like a rocket ship.

Yes Kia, I had Paris & Rosebud with me. It will be a nice car for them! Part of my criteria is to have room for the girls and I made that known at the dealership.

Yes it pretty much is! I am crunching some numbers, factoring in insurance and such. Right now I pay minimum liability insurance since my car is so old anyway, and a car payment and insurance is just such a leap after all these years payment free. Well that is why I am staying under a certain dollar amount. I've had the new cars, and the payments that went with those! It was fun but I no care so much about all that anymore.

Another part of me tells me there will be a glut of cars in the near future once the economy lightens up a bit and it might be even more of a buyers market.

If I get one of these two, it will be the Audi.

well darn! My credit union is wanting a huge down payment for the Audi because of the mileage. I can probably walk away with the Chrysler with no down payment. It is nice too, but I want the Audi.

my boss has an audi. the other day some eedyat driver lick har. the other car mashup, the audi's airback didn't even deploy and mi boss never had even a whiplash. solid. i'm thinking of getting one when my hyundai dies.

I am trying to work a negotiation with my credit union for half the down payment that they first quoted on the Audi. I just cannot come up with more than that so it will be a Chrysler in my future should the financing go that way. I've also got my insurance guy working on comparing rates between the two.

It is all because of the mileage on the Audi. It's just getting broke in dammit! Oh that heated seat and steering wheel felt so good!

I won't be too sad. The Chrysler is like new still, smells new and has thick soft leather seats, a sun/moon roof too and Cd player etc. It is white with a light color interior (tan) so will be nice for hot sunny days and is immaculate.

I have not given up hope yet. I just made a call and offered to sacrifice my Intrepid for a ridiculously low price to a friend who does auto repairs. he can put a few hours and little $$ and more than double his price in a week.

oh Nylah I have my fingers crossed big time that the friend will grab up my Intrepid! I didn't plan to sell it. Figured it will be a good go to the dump and feed store car. But, if it means I can have the Audi, I will send it down the road. Book on the Intrepid is 3 times what I said I would sell it for, but it needs a little work too. The guy is a mechanic so he prolly can do it some justice.
