dat is juss plain choopid. how di heck yuh invest so much money inna sinting weh devalue. So in less than 1 month you have lost 200 bucks. Yuh know how much money inna sharebuilder stocks dat cudda did buy?

Apple Cuts iPhone Price, Updates iPods

SAN FRANCISCO - Apple Inc. slashed the price of the iPhone by $200 Wednesday - a rare move for the company that typically discounts only older products. It also updated its iPod media players, introducing a model with a touch-screen and other iPhone features.

The 8-gigabyte iPhone will be $399 - $200 cheaper than the same model when it went on sale in June. The 4-gigabyte iPhone, which sold for $399, will be phased out. By comparison, the new touch-screen iPods will start at $299.

Analysts said the price drop would definitely boost sales, possibly allowing Apple to achieve its self-proclaimed goal of selling 1 million iPhones by the end of September.

Not only that, if you bought one between August 25th (I think) and September 5th when the discount started, you can go back to your point of sale and get the $200 you lost. So - I called at&t today to check my bill status. Just to check - I can see it on-line - I can see it on my phone. No problem. Everything I've done, and plan to do, are well within the plan I selected.

I think the people who haven't used one(held one and actually USED it) don't know what it can do.
I can sit ANYWHERE (in my car - ANYWHERE) and watch Utube videos. I'm not talking about the stupid pranksters ones (but I can see those too [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]) - I'm talking about going to search and typing Bob Marley (or whatever- anything you can think of) - I get Bob Marley - full length music videos on my phone. I'm am seriousley talking ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. I work in a fairly remote area (horse country - they call it) I get GREAT reception.
Even my comcast email - I get it anywhere and everywhere - even in the factory at work.

I can't say enough about it - really -check it out.

How do you listen to the videos and your music files? Is there a speaker on the phone, do you have an iPod like headphone, or bluetooth?

Does the monthly bill come with an iTunes account? Or do you have to pay additional for downloads?

I am looking at the pricing....and since I don't have an iPod [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70361-embarassed.gif[/img] I am thinking it makes sense to just buy an iPhone. I was going to buy myself and iPod, maybe for Christmas. But if I spend a couple extra and get all the goodies of an iPhone..well. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]

So, I'm sure you've seen the phone. there are several little squares ("Buttons", i guess) on the face of it. One of the buttons is for Itunes. You press it, and then you can go to your songs, playlists, videos, audio books, etc., make your selection and boom - it plays. It has two speakers on the phone, so it's stereo, but you can also plug it into external speakers.
You download iTunes for free - you can even do it now and start ripping your cd's if you want. Then when you get your iphone, just plug it in and answer a bunch of set-up stuff (nothing terribly difficult) and there you go. You can, through iTunes, go to the "store" and buy music, videos, books, whatever- you have to pay for those - but you can rip all of your own cd's for free (of cours). We have a program that re-formats movies to a smaller size, so you can even have several movies - at least on an iPod. i think I have 3 movies on my iPhone - I don't want to clog it up with stuff I'm not going to use often.
Even with all of my music, pictures, movies - I still have room left on the phone [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img].

I think I'm going to give my iPod to my brother...

Pepper- i'd go for the phone _ ESPECIALLY since they lowered the price.

Today at work, I opened my maps - typed in the search line - "food, Morgan Hill, CA". it came back and listed tons of restaurants - along with the links, and directions, and menus...
