tomorrow - houdini will have been here a month - she doesn't appear destructive - i am going to test her for longer and longer time alone in prep for my return to work

Well I just wanna bawlout so I will. They said it was gonna be 60 today. You know what it is? 42 with fog so thick I can't see across the yard and it's drizzling. I just came from 10 miles away where it's 56.
My all time favorite Stephen King is The Stand. If you haven't read it, I recommend it. Get the complete & unabridged version. I've read both several times.
Then again.... In light of the Swine Flu epidemic... maybe you wanna skip it.
I've recently been reading the Odd Thomas books by Dean Koontz.
Well we went for the tests and follow up visit with the surgeon who done the operation an my Betty.
I wish I could post some good news but it didn't go well.
The legs portion of her bypass didn't seem to work to well and another operation looks likely in the fall.
The doctor wants her to heal up and then he will re-test her and make the the call then.
Her open wound is healing and she is feeling much better since being taken off some of the meds they had her on.
Our new plan includes a trip to Jamaica in late June ( of course), Jah willing, and we'll deal with the tests and operation at the end of July.
We are very disappointed and scared to say the least and worried about going through all of this again.
He won't have to open her chest this time we are told, just the legs again.
Sometimes things are just not fair but many have it far worse than us so we must give our thanks and move on.

Stan, Oh no not more surgery! Poor Betty she can't seem to win here lately. Bless her heart. I pray that she can get strong enough for another one. Stan, take good care of her as you always do. Jah bless.

Good morning everybody!!! HAPPY MAY DAY!!! Fur kids are fed and coffee is getting guzzled. I don't drink coffee just for the enjoyment, I really don't care for it all that much. I doctor it up a lot and make it hair standing strong and only drink it for the instant BUZzzzz.

QK, every year I wanna run away from the big pond. When I lived in northern Minnesota I actually hated it for awhile because it is that water that messes with the climate so. But, it is a love hate relationship and in a month or two it will be so beautiful here that wild horses couldn't drag me away.
Oh Rasta Stan, I am so sorry to hear the news too. I just don't know why we must go through these trials and tribulations and Betty and you are in my prayers!
