Happy Easter morning everyone. I hope the weather stays nice today. I committed to cooking for my family. Let's see what's on the menu. Chicken casserole, asparagus, steamed cabbage, broccoli with cheese sauce, rolls, sweet iced tea, and this wonderful fruit cake. It's a yellow cake with a smidge of cream cheese, pineapple, strawberries and whipped cream....I made it yesterday. It looks pretty & I hope it tastes good. It's no wonder mi gain weight.

Nancy, your menu sounds better than mine.....I want to come eat with you. I didn't know there is a Jamaican store in Atlanta. That is a treat.

QK, doesn't it feel nice to make your pad nicer! I bought some new pots to re-pot plants I've had over 20 years! I hope I have time to do that this morning too.....always so much to do.

My leg is feeling almost back to normal.

Where is Jamaica Miss?.....haven't seen her around in a few days.

Nooks, your outback yard looks lovely but I know you are ready for the warm weather!

Good morning and the sun is shinin yet another day.

Going to spend the day at the beach with some friends, then a little dinner party with 4 other friends and then my favorite night of the week for dancing, later oldies on the beach.

Bummer Dudie, well...it ought to melt today!

Oh, BTW, my south snow in the poll did not finish melting yesterday. It should be gone this afternoon though! The north snow will be here for awhile though. It's cold on the north side of my house, too cold! But on the south side I was sunning yesterday.

Easter Sunday Update:
My Betty is home for Easter.
After almost a week in the hospital they have released her.
Her latest blood work shows no signs of infection and after a final 2:00pm dose of meds they let her out.

She will have home care everyday for her still open wound and we hope they can clear this up quickly now that the internal infection seems to be taken care of.

Warning to others going into the hospital , be sure to check everything they are giving you.
Betty caught them trying to give her wrong meds twice, so always ask and check what your getting.

Betty is going to read through all the posts and wants to thank you again for your concern and kindness.

Oh Rasta Stan that is the best news ever! I'm so happy to read Betty is home! Wow, wrong meds, huh. That's scary stuff!

Schultz, I love fixing up my place. One of teh reasons I love living alone. No rules, no other opinions on style or arrangement or COLOR!! I lived too many years with beige.
It's been a work in progress for the last 2 1/2 years but it's getting there.
One of these days I'll post some before &amp; after pics.
