I don't really know. I do know that Mo Bay is a huge Cruise ship destination. That doesn't bring in money for the night clubs to tuff.

Every year there is a discussion on TVJ with the tourist board and the big king pins in the Jamaican tourist industry. Last year they were still talking about the demise of Mo Bay being attributed to the situation that took place a few years ago when a truck picked up several homeless people and took then into the country and many of the homeless people lost their lives. That made international news but I don't know how many people knew of it, I did.They said that since then tourism fell drastically. On top of that the crime rate has soared over the last 2 years in Mo Bay, gang crimes almost daily. So it's possible that it's a hot spot for crime right now and the risk of opening up a club might not be such a great idea. Town gangs have migrated out of Kingston and many relocated in Mo Bay. With that said, I see many new people here in Negril from town as well.

part of Cornwall Beach is being used for the water sports at Breezes i hate that place

Mobay Mobay and I wouldn't have it any other way..been going to Mobay since 1999 and up until now only missed one year of not going to Jamaica and that was in 2008...I have my ticket for Mobay in my hand right now and leaving soon... I always do Mobay...

Do not do all inclusives..Talk about parties..yes I go on the unbeaten paths...Dangerous..lol...it's not just what you know it's who you know too...I have Jamaican friends that own there own places to party and I have a ball..

So let's just put it this way..When I step into Mobay the Jamaican people say to me welcome back home you are one of us now..Seems no one forgets this face..smile

I travel all downtown by myself to Sam Sharpe Sq. sometimes to go grocery shop or eat...and even hang outside at the little mall with all the locals ..no big deal..carry my digicel phone with me..

It doesn't matter where you go in Jamaica or in this world crap happens..Always keep a positive attitude..and then again it doesn't hurt to know a few tough guys who are willing to protect you.

I travel up to Salt Springs.. to Flankers.. Negril- Ocho Rios- Mandeville ..St. Ann..Brown town..Black River..Sav La Mar..Lucea..Falmouth and I'm still not finished exploring..Don't do tour buses..I have Jamaican friends that I've known for years tell me let's ride!

Mobay is home for me..and you better know it!
