Yeah man, good for you! You are going to look back on this period one day and find it was a time of personal growth.

I feel for everyone out there who is out of work at the moment. I am beginning to see the sunset on my own career and I am still middle aged. I am not sure what I will do when my position eventually becomes extinct but I am considering early retirement or possibly semi retirement (working part time and doing some volunteer work perhaps), or maybe going back to college and changing careers. Once I get my dad's affairs in order and get him settled in a nursing home I will have some time to focus on my future plans. Seems as though all my time, energy and resources are being spent on his situation at the moment.

But keep up the good work GS, you sound like you are on the right track.

Feeling a little weak this morning, I just want to know I'm on the right path. Don't get me wrong I haven't stopped but doubts have crept back in somehow.

Felt confused and low this morning, went to my emergency first aid and cpr training, during the breaks I went for walks to talk to God about what I'm doing, how I feel why I feel the way I do and asked myself questions (or maybe it was God asking me as I spoke to him) about my goals and why I have them and do I really want to do some of the things I've been asking for (not job related more on a relationship level) I think that they were tough questions some were hard to answer but I answered them truthfully and those truths got me emotional, I welled up a bit for some of the answers too, but in the end the answers I gave made me feel a lot more confident. I told God and myself that I believe in what I'm working for, that while I fear falling and getting hurt, I fear even more losing because I didn't give it my all. There are things that I can't fix without a steady Job and at the moment yes I believe that that is the biggest obstacle, but in the end I have to fight for whatI want. Tomorrow it's back to Honda to get this guy to hire me, the samples get sent off to the various islands, and I start making my comeback.

I got my certification for the first aid and CPR so I am ready to apply for this teaching position too (whenever the damn city gets off this strike). Once I start getting a workable steady income, I know my confidence will return, my mood will be better and yes I'll look back on now and realize how it built me up. I'm still a little shaky now and then as I really want some solid reassurance but I am still moving fwd, even when I lose my enthusiasm I still will move forward.

Remember this, .. We all have the same amount of faith. None has more than the other.
you don't need more faith that you already have. You only need to redirect that which you already have. you have all that is required.
It is a matter of where it is concentrated.

just stop trying to justify to yourself,why you can fail, ....and then you will get the results you want, with ease wisdom and speed for the good of all involved.

That was my intention. because I know that nothing can come to you unless it comes through you.
i also realize that you were working hard enough on the physical plane. You need to start working fro within. You have now started doing so.
And remember that start with the first feeling that tells where to look. And that place is within.
There is a reason why you had this soul searching experience. It has changed you and prepared you for your next big achievement. i am looking forward to hear and possible seeing it com to pass.
That which you seek i seeking you and you will be getting as much gratitude as you give in the end. You will also forgot the rough patch you went through to get there. Go out there with the knowledge that you are as eligible to get what you want as the most successful person who ever got it. There is nothing ti justify other wise and as an honest person you never do that is not justified. walk in peace and celebrate celebrate you blessings.

Thanks Dr. Dudd, Fear is faith in failure keeps echoing inside me, and I'm allowing the other stuff to really sink in too.

Went to Honda today, man you'd think I was asking to see the Pope when I asked to see this guy, they put up any barrier they could so I didn't get to see him, but I asked to talk to a salesmen that we've dealt with in the past so we spoke and I explained why I was there and he took my resume and said he'd put in a good word for me. Got the postage for the first set of comics to go out they will be in the mail tonight.

I think I'll try to go to our paper here in the city and try to talk to the editor in chief, tell him about my strip, offer it at a trial rate for a week(if he's hesitant to test it out) and if it does well then offer to sell it at a standard. I'll see if I can make an appointment tomorrow.

I truly believe in this, it's time for me to start putting more behind it again.

My head's up, I'm energized. Things are looking a lot brighter, still waiting in regards to a steady job but it feels as though the clouds have parted otherwise. There's hope in my heart and on the horizon. God is great! When the seeds I planted start to sprout I know they will bear great fruit. I really feel like I've turned a corner I just need patience and faith to see the great things just down the road. keep up the prayers for me if you guys don't mind, I'm starting to feel them kicking in!!

Sent off 5 samples yesterday, I am going to send another to the torstar syndicate, we'll see what they say. More hope on the horizon regarding the relationship, positive signs of healing even without the money coming in, I know we do need it and I'm working to get there, but it's nice to feel like the storm is subsiding. Continuing to let God sort it out. I had a dream a few months ago, things felt so heavy and hopeless I got down on my knees and prayed hard.

I said God please, I'm so lost please let me know what to do, I'm confused and I feel like I'm doing everything wrong, that night I dreamt I was at a friends house, the TV came on and a rock song started playing, the lyrics were &quot;Carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done, lay your weary head to rest and don't you cry no more.&quot; now it's a real song, but it wasn't playing and I hadn't listened to it prior to that night. I woke up and smiled and thought, God answered me. since then I've had more tough times, particularly when I joined the prayer circle, I prayed to God for another sign because that other one was months ago, the signs never cam in dreams and I thought maybe it's not coming because God already told me what I asked Him too, but I still needed some kind of reassurance esp since things felt so bad, then Skelly directed me to the prayer circle which lead to this thread, which has lead to me getting a lot of love and wisdom and support, which in turn has lead to me feeling full of faith and hope. I thank God for you guys as much I I appreciated the dream He gave me, I needed another little push to get me back on track again.

I'm still in need of steady work, mind you, that hasn't changed, I'm just feeling more positive about it coming soon. (I hope to high Heaven that it's the comic more than anything,) 20 papers ordering daily strips, that's all I need to get by, I KNOW that once I'm out there officially, and my light is shining for the people to see, more will come to see it shine.
