I'm doing lazy chilies relleno's, they are really awesome and good. There are a few varieties of chilie relleno's. One is stuffed battered and deep fried, and then there is an egg mixture style that they have at my local favorite mexican restaurant. This recipe by Pioneer woman tastes just like the ones in the restaurant and is so easy I can make them all the time. No stuffing i volved. In fact, I use the cans of green chilies! Thankfully I can get them in large cans here. And I do fry my own raw flour tortillas, I do not like the package ones you just warm up, blah. I am NOT into fussing over food, I have no time and those days are long behind me, lol...

OK, so I have a ham and a sirloin roast in the oven. Later before it's dinner time I'll make the chilies! I'll make soup of the roast and some beef enchiladas some day next week or so but since i really have come to dislike cooking, I'll do a whole bunch of it at once so I don't have to do it again!
There is a lull in the snow action! I certainly hope this is not it, I will be sorely disappointed. I'm even plowed out so I tried to go to the park to take pics but even the blacktop road to the park isn't plowed yet and I'd never get up the park road so I had to come home.

Yes the breaded and deep fried ones are great and a pita to make too, lol. So I save eating those when I go out to eat. I've made them and they are a lot of work to blister and peel the chilies then de-seed and then stuff the little suckers....I have so many other things I'd rather do!
OK, so the blizzard is n't until tonight. I might even go out see of they plowed the park yet, it's just beautiful and we're having the lull...it's like the eye of the hurricane when it is nice in between the blasts of hell. The tonight stuff is supposed to be really bad with 50 mile and hour winds and 1 to 2 inches of snow per hour! Oh this is so exciting!

Laurel, I'm sorry to hear about your calalloo man. They got him mixed up with our man in the neighborhood. I kept telling them it wasn't our man, because I saw your pic and knew this man was on a bicycle. Ours uses a motorcycle loaded down with veggies, boiling bananas, salad sometimes. They swore up and down yesterday that it was our guy, so I started bawling. This morning they recanted and said it was another man, cho. They just wouldn't believe me. Also they got the plane crash mixed up. First they said they landed on Norman Manley Blvd. I just couldn't image where it could have landed without major damage. The rumors that fly in our neighborhood!! And it's men that are stating them.Comment

I'm wondering if my blizzard is late or if the lake blew it away! So far only maybe a foot. The forecasters did a great job of keeping people home and off the roads instead of family gatherings, so I hope the storm materializes! Otherwise, I know there are some peeps upset by the whole business.
Oh well. Maybe I'll go take pics somewhere since it's not so bad out there. Or not. Have a great holiday everyone!Comment

I am sitting here listening to a Christmas CD. Just finished cutting up my vegs for my dressing. I am going to do Cornish Hens instead of turkey. The other usual stuff on the menu.

On my way home from work yesterday my temp gauge in my car kept going all the way to <span style="color: #FF0000">HOT</span>, then it would just drop back down to cold, looks like ole girl is giving me some hints that she is ready to go out to pasture!

well I survived christmas day we had bout 30 persons for dinner and mr. stormmey did him self proud, he cooked up a storm. The last person left my house at 2:00am this morning and then mr. whispered to me am tired so don't even think about jumping my bones!! cho and I had plans for him you know.
I wonder if the above is just 2 much info, neway I say let me peruse the board and ketch up and let the poor bwoy sleep as he started cooking from 5:30am christmas day. I just sat there and look pretty cause he said leave the cooking to me stormmey 
Well, it's 3:00am he is fast asleep I am wide awake so....if I cannot get what I want I might as well come on ja.com and see what I missed.

The wild storm continues and I couldn't tell you how much we got cause the rain came along and smashed it all down. Is a major mess out there and still raining so no way is my camera going out. I stole this pic from the newspaper though...
This is how it is supposed to look, I took this pic down there last week!
Duluth and north got slammed the most, with over 2 feet and they say I got 12 to 18 inches and Mpls for 12 inches. Funny thing though, I don't think I need to blow any snow today and I had more snow before this all started then I do now!
Anyway, is not often you see such a massive storm that it shuts down all the way from Oklahoma to Canada!Comment
